A piece of cheaply made, pretentious shit that doesn't have the chops to emulate what they're trying to emulate. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. I guess if you never saw Traffic, Narcos, Godfather and other clear inspirations, you could think that this is menacing or "unpredictable". I barely made it through 1 episode, it's that bad for a movie lover. Mogwai didn't have the chops for the OST, either. Stock, drony, boring, faceless, safe. But Andrea Riseborough know what she's doing.

DNF. Wannabe Narcos with acting, script and story Telling of Bold and Beautiful.

Going back to catch up on rating this one after a month. All I could remember was the Mexican storyline which suggests that this side of the series was the most interesting in my opinion. Perhaps because of the darkness and depths of the drug trade at its base. Having lived in Texas for most of my life it also struck close to home. Not all of the details of the 3 stories worked flawlessly together but it was an entertaining watch in a time of very few high ranking series.

Ambitious and well directed drug saga-mosaic that works very well in parts. The American story is the most engaging because of the character work, the Italian one a bit of a confusing mess that leaves questions pertaining the likelihood of the plot, the Mexican fares well by the impressive acting of the commander. As a twisty, brutally violent thriller baring some suspension of disbelief in mind this miniseries is a really good time altho it's not all as interconnected as it sets out to be
