It's very low budget, and made-for-TV production, does straitjacket this film's science fiction plot, to the point they can only talk about the issues of humanity within robots rather than show it, but it does try its hardest with the idea with some sincerity despite its heavy limitations. It hasn't a lot to it, but that it makes a well treaded idea of science fiction interesting and thoughtful places it above many other films which have overcompensated in unintelligent areas instead.
