Wow. Immensely entertaining. Well-directed and acted, always a treat to see Kristin Scott-Thomas as well. And who knew Dustin Hoffman was such a natural-sounding french-speaker?

A psychological thriller with plenty of action and even bloody violence. An everyman is drawn into a complex intrigue centering on his wife's murder 8 years ago -- or was she murdered at all? Structural fourth-act problems involving excess exposition, but there is still room for another twist to make you re-evaluate much of the story, and cheat you of the seeming resolution you expect. Often blunt and creative, although stretching at points. The title turns out to be quite apt.

Nice premise and solidly made, but the lead was too wooden and the plot became ever more preposterous. Spoorloos did this much better.

Guillaume Canet is a great director, smart enough not to succomb to easy resolutions, charicatural representations and other perilous pitfalls. I enjoyed the intricate and involving plot and the performances are really good. I am stupefied as to why folks are put off by the ending. Could you have guessed it had the makers not taken the time to explain this shit to you ?

Thriller mysteries have died in recent years. Some have become too predictable, while others give away too much in the beginning. This film does neither of these things, and keeps what I loved from the book intact. The acting from the entire cast is spot on. The plot and screenplay are perfect. Every scene is interesting and the mystery keeps you guessing until the very end. The camera work is exceptional, as well as the soundtrack. I felt like I was watching a film of high quality all around.

A tight thriller with a love story on top of that. Story is a bit far fetched, but the direction, editing and cinematography are so good that it all works out great. Some little bits like gangster sidekick or bad guys bothered me, but hey, if you watch a thriller by Hitchcock you'll see some of that too.

An interesting semi-Hitchcockian thriller that sort of implodes at the end. The film keeps withholding information and the plot gets more and more complicated until finally revealing everything... with a far-too-lengthy and somewhat anti-climactic piece of exposition. Furthermore, it seemed to leave several plot holes, or at least unanswered questions. Still, the movie has some thrilling moments and does hold your interest.

Clever story, well directed and strong acting all around. Bonus points for a great chase scene, small demerit for a too typical "let's have a character explain everything"-ending.

Engaging, sure, but there are som flawed elements, here and there. When the cheesy gets beyond cheesy. The lead actor would have benefited from a more subtle approach at times. A lot of things keeps this from being really good.

Being a little too complicated hinders the enjoyment a bit, but still an engaging and suspenseful mystery. Loved it.

The film had a very promising first few minutes. After that there was hardly any suspense and the plot developments were embarrassingly infeasible (considering how seriously the film seemed to take itself) or simply not very interesting.

Great movie, well done, decent pace. Only issue I have is with the Deus Ex Machina with Bruno's friends.

Starts with some promise but eventually delivers a relatively dull thriller. Difficult to believe this deserves to rate as higher than a TV whodunnit.

The French do this kind of intellectual thriller so well. Think *Cache*, or *With a Friend Like Harry*, or *Swimming Pool* . *Tell No One* is the best of the lot, smart, involving, and suspenseful. It also is complex; it rewards patience and attention with a climax in which all questions are answered, all secrets revealed. Stick with it, and you may not see a more intriguing film this year.

solid genre piece, in many ways exquisitely muted and full of momentum. as ever the flashbacks are annoying and the thing kind of shrivels up towards the end - the resolution is disposable as all hell - but the journey is enjoyable enough in itself, nice balance of tension and style.

Wonderful film, doesn't telegraph the ending, and has characters that feel like people rather than puppets.

A little disappointed by the long-winded explanation of the mystery at the end, but it had all the right elements to keep me engaged the whole time.

Entertaining action ride, if slightly silly. Not quite on a par with similar-themed films like Frantic or The Fugitive, this one has most of the elements but needs a more sympathetic, or at least more charismatic hero. The story is a little too complex, to the degree that it frustrates. I don't mind reveals but at some point the writer needed to think if there wasn't a simpler solution. I would have liked it to feel more French, I think Canet was trying too hard to imitate Hollywood.

This movie has a solid "wrong man" premise going for it and a great chase to go with that. Once the wrong man stuff tapers off, so does the movie. The exposition at the end was certainly one way to tie the plot together - I submit that it was also the worst and most annoying possible means of doing so.
