Black Magic II

Pretty much the same story, they even share almost the entire same cast as the first movie. But this time it's a much more coherent movie. Like most Hong Kong horror films this isn't the least bit scary, it is bizarre and entertaining tho. Also while there are quite a few zombies in this movie they are the black magic VooDoo servant kind not the mindless flesh eating kind that are so popular these days.

The same cast is playing different roles, but otherwise there are no links to the original movie. The building blocks remain the same, but it increases the tempo and adds more gore, nudity, sleaze, and is in general - more bonkers. It would make for a good midnight film, even if technically it's below the original film. Like it's predecessor, this one also has some subpar FX towards the end, but it doesn't matter as much in this context. I also liked the science vs. magic theme in this.
