Funnier than it has any right being, and well worth a watch for fans of this sort of crap.

There's a modicum of entertainment to be found in the general stupidity and ineptitude of Brain Smasher. It's bad, but it's easy to watch.

Dice was out of his prime in 93, and so was Pyun, but Brainsmasher is okay for what it is and better paced than the director's usual efforts. The chemistry between Dice and a pre-fame Hatcher is surprisingly good, and there are some mildly amusing jokes geared towards subverting racial stereotypes stemming from the western tendency to treat 'Asian cultures' as a monolith.
