Surprisingly good. I loved the epic scenery combined with the score. Perfect combination of character development, pacing, wit, and whatever it is about some movies that make you want to better your own life.

An improvement over the first chapter, with some terrific scenery and heartrending scenes of war violence; it still can't quite defeat its apparent low-budget limitations, combined with the fact that much of the content has been done before and better - a tighter focus on the rigours of training and combat, leaving the homefront scenes behind, ironically makes this 2 1/2 hours move by much quicker than the 82 minutes of the original! Not a bad effort, but ultimately undistinguished.
