This was a simple straightforward feel good movie and as such it was entirely enjoyable. This was my first Will Rogers movie and I'll have to check out more as I found him to be quite charming.

I think this is the first time I've heard Stepin Fetchit shout! And he still manages to mumble his words! I love you Stepin Fetchit! Otherwise it's a well made slow folksy Will Rogers comedy. Best bits are the horse trades with "Deacon" Charles Middleton! Evelyn Venable was charming in this as well. And there is not much more needed to make this a well feeling Fox movie.
