Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer's Curse

Every buzzy hit inspires knockoffs - Mad Men retro dramas, Breaking Bad antihero thrillers... and Game of Thrones this film, with its very own Wall (called "the Wall") which guards the kingdoms from northern wildlings, one of them a feisty redhead our wall watchman hero falls for when he travels north. Also identical dragon eggs! And like many a cheapo knockoff of a currently popular piece of media, it just makes you want to watch the original. Their big Game of Thrones guest star? Mace Tyrell!

In the original Dragonheart, dragons can bond their hearts to humans, making them nigh-immortal so long as the dragon lives. In this prequel, the human also gains the dragon's ability to teleport between shadows which was never a thing, to which the dragon is confined by sorcerer magic which was never a thing. And dragon eggs slam into the ground from outer space, but they explode when falling off a cart. And dragons come from space?? And absolutely nothing links the story to the original.

Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer's Curse (2015) revives the Dragonheart franchise after 14 years absence. In a way it felt like they exceeded their budgetary restraints. The result however remained uninteresting. I wasn't able to get into any of the characters. Bland as hell. Only Ben Kingsley borrowing his voice to the dragon resembled professional acting. And the story simply had little to offer. In short, there was no need to continue this saga.

Worst movie I have seen in a while. The characters never-ever go in depth, so you feel absolutely nothing for them (no emotional connection), storyline is o so predictable and o so unoriginal, and it is just plain boring. I doubt even kids enjoy this movie....10/100.
