This is at times quite a tense and emotional film, though it goes at a fairly leisurely pace for the most part (which potentially may frustrate or bother some perhaps?). Its quite reflective and somewhat thought provoking. Its hard not to feel sorry for the character and more generally of course the people of Ukraine generally. The last half an hour I found particularly poignant. There's certainly some fairly impressive wide shots showing off a quite impressive sunset.

A mixed bag of a road trip, containing some of that plight-porn we always see from Eastern Europe in festival circuits, but also a few captivating sequences that keep it interesting.
