Fast Girls

I was very surprised how captivated I was with the running event scenes in this movie. They are really well shot and the accompanying score adds to the drama..but there seems to be a similar theme with most sports movies where you have a team of polar opposites who like each other, then fall out and then a love triangle develops. All this happens in films like 'Bend it like Beckham' and unfortunately it happens here. Everything is really predictable and nothing new but has some decent moments.

Girls running; posh ones, poor ones, black ones, white ones. At it's worst a soapy adidas advert and at it's best a well-done, pop-fuelled but by-the-numbers sport story, meh.

A well made movie about competitive running. Even though I'm not a big fan of the event, this movie keeps you engaged. It is also fairly well made. Despite the possibly limited appeal, it was entertaining and worth while.

A lightweight and inconsequential tale of following your dreams, the cast are generally likeable enough to cancel out the blisteringly predictable script.
