Kalippattam

Venu (Mohanlal), a poor young man struggling to support his family, is asked by rich businessman K.M.K. Menon (Thilakan) to marry his terminally ill daughter Sarojam (Urvashi), in return for financial security. Venu reluctantly agrees & has a good life with Sarojam till she passes away due to her illness after a few years. Their daughter Ammukutty grows up & is diagnosed with the same illness, causing for Venu to look for a similar groom for her to keep her happy till the end of her days. (Summary by iceblox)
