On a fateful night aboard the Souparnika Express, ace-shooter Nadiya Methar (Kavya Madhavan) is gruesomely murdered along with renowned danseuse Thulasi Mani (Suja Karthika) and sprightly journalist Shreya Maria (Poornima). The movie is about lawyer Sivaraman (Mohanlal), an alcoholic, who leaves his practice and hits the bottle after his family disapproves of his love. He receives an anonymous call on his cell phone from a damsel in distress who has been abducted by goons. He rescues the woman and learns that she is from a wealthy family and someone from that family wants to kill her for her wealth. 'Chota Mumbai' is the story about a gang of freewheeling youngsters, living in a colony near Fort Kochi, dubbed Chota Mumbai. Isahak (Mohanlal) is a fisherman who falls in love with Devi (Laila). They get married at sea and spend their first night at sea. But their happiness is short lived as Devi is arrested and jailed for murder on that very same night. It is on their fifth wedding anniversary that Isahak comes to know that Devi is being released on parole. This changes his whole world and brings joy to his life.

Premachandran (Mohanlal) is a down-to-earth carpenter and is liked by the village folks. One day he meets Kanmani (Meera Jasmine), a girl of Tamil roots who is employed as a servant and is continually ill-treated by the family that employs her. Premachandran comes to her rescue. But this lands him into endless troubles and eventually into love.

A box of arms is discovered in an area under construction, leading to complications with a criminal-police-politician nexus. Balram (Mammootty), the no-nonsense police officer, one who figured in 'Aavanazhi' (1986), starts investigating. The evidence leads to Tharadas, played again by Mammootty as the suave smuggler of the 80's hit, 'Athirathram' (1984), who has now become an international criminal.

Retd. Station Master Raghavan Nair's two sons, Prabhakaran (Sreenivasan) and Prakashan (Jayaram) belong to opposing political parties. Prabhakaran is a communist, whilst Prakashan is a right-winger. They quibble all the time over political issues, and although Raghavan Nair is initially impressed by what he assumes to be his sons' political knowledge and leadership capabilities, soon it turns to despair and anger, when he sees his family suffer in his sons' sibling rivalry.

Vijayan (Sreenivasan), a school teacher, believes that his Economics degree is enough for him to succeed in business. Taking long leaves from work, he roams around with his business schemes, all of which turn out to be failures. Karunan (Thilakan), Vijayan's father, as a last resort to reform his son, asks him to make a pilgrimage to Sabarimala. Despite his initial protests, Vijayan makes the pilgrimage. Upon his return, his family is dismayed to see that matters have swung to the other extreme.

Balakrishnan (Mukesh) who is sick and has a heart disease, gets a heart transplant from a man (Aby Mathew) who died in a recent car accident. Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique), Appukuttan (Jagadish) and Thomasukutty (Asokan) are four young men enamored with Maya (Geetha Vijayan), the next door neighbor of Mahadevan. Maya is in town to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of her brother. The film revolves around the antics of these four to win Maya's heart. It also explores the past of the central characters. Towards the end, John Honai (Rizabawa) a man with some dark secrets, appears.

Mullamkolli Velayudhan (Mohanlal) is an orphan brought up by the chief of the village Valiya Nambiar (Madhu). Velayudhan is a drunkard & rules the village with his muscle power, but he is good at heart & keeps the evils of the modern world out of his tiny hamlet. Velayudhan is at constant odds with Valiya Nambiar's son-in-law Gopinathan (Siddique). Gopinathan, along with his cronies, Kuruppu (Jagathy Sreekumar) & Keeri Raghavan (Bheeman Raghu) hatches various schemes to get rid of Velayudhan.

The story centres around the rivalry of two families, each headed by Anjooran (N.N. Pillai) and Aanappara Achamma (Philomina). Anjooran dislikes women because of personal reasons and ensures that all his sons stay bachelors. The youngest son, Ramabhadran (Mukesh) falls in love with Malu (Kanaka), from Achamma's family. A complicated and hilarious tug-of-war ensues.

Brothers Ramankutty (Dileep) & Achuthankutty (Lal) are wedding planners. During a wedding at Thampi's (Lalu Alex) house, where Ramankutty was in charge, the marriage gets canceled at the last minute due to the reason that girl was dumb. Good men at heart, Ramankutty & Achuthankutty ask their brother, a doctor, to marry the helpless girl. Soon Ramankutty also falls in love with the girl's sister Gowri (Navya Nair), but she pretends to be in love with her uncle's son (Kunchakko Boban).

Appukuttan & Ananthan (Jagadish) are twin brothers, but exact opposites. Ananthan is a "Kalari" expert, doesn't care about his family & is a roamer. Appukuttan, in contrast, is amiable & struggles to support their family in Ananthan's absence. Rock N' Roll tells the story of Chandramouli (Mohanlal), a drummer of international repute. He comes to Chennai to do the drums for a song for an old friend Guna (Siddique) where he meets Daya Srinivasan (Lakshmi Rai). A life-long cynic and non-believer in love, Chandramouli falls in love with Daya. When Daya returns to Mumbai after the song, Chandramouli thinks of a plan to bring her back to Chennai.

'Paradesi' is the story of Valiyakaththu Moosa (Mohanlal), an Indian Muslim who moves from the Malabar region of Kerala, India to Karachi, Pakistan during the British Raj in search of a job. Post-partition, he returns back from Pakistan & settles down in Malappuram, Kerala. This man, who lives as a true Indian, doesn't get his Indian passport & thus an Indian identity, even after 50 years of Independence. The police harasses him & his friends in a similar situation as Pakistani spies.

Raju (Jagadish), who comes to the city in search of a job, woos Shyama (Sunitha) with the help of his old friend Williams (Siddique), & in the process Williams also fall in love with Shyama's friend Mercy (Suchitra). Later, Raju & Williams, who start a video store business, cover a political function, where they accidentally tape someone explode a bomb which kills the Chief Minister. This lands them in trouble, & they go on the run, with both the bad guys & the cops after them, wanting the tape.

Medical Representative Mathew Ninan Koshy (Mukesh), a self-proclaimed playboy enters into a bet with his three roommates, Bank Cashier Pavithran (Siddique), Tutorial College Lecturer Murthy (Manian Pillai Raju) & Ravi (Suresh Gopi) who runs an exporting company called Falcon Exporters, wherein each of them would point out a girl to Mathew, whom he would woo in a month's time. Mathew sets out to fulfill his bet, with hilarious & disastrous results.

Sreenivasan (Jayaram), who lead a care-free life with his friends, hesitantly joins the Police force due to family pressure. He gets posted to the village police station of Vadakkekara, where he meets & gets attracted to Chandrika (Urvashi), daughter of Head Constable Parameshwaran (Oduvil Unnikrishnan). While transporting a murder accused, Peter (Mukesh), to the court, he dupes Sreenivasan & escapes. With his job at stake, Sreenivasan goes in search of Peter to Peter's hometown of Chinnankolli.

Appu & Achchu (Mammootty) are the twin sons of Ravunni (Janardanan), a ballet artist. While Appu is noisy & talkative, Achchu is forced to silence as he was born dumb. These differences resulted in hostility brewing between them & their father had to let them grow up apart. Appu grew up in Pollachi, whilst Achchu grew up with his father in Palghat & is now the main artist in his father's ballet troupe. The two brothers are still enemies, but their friends & family wishes to see them united.

Kunjukuttiyamma (Lakshmi), the grand old lady of the Kannettumkara family, have three daughters, all of whom have plans to snare Kochukrishnan (Mukesh), her only grandson, for their own daughters, and thus lay their hands on her vast assets. Kochukrishnan & his friend Harindran (Siddique) hatch various plans to escape this, but to no avail. In between this, a girl named Gopika (Sowmya) shows up claiming to be Kunjukuttiyamma's grandchild & her son Ambotti's (Nedumudi Venu) illegitimate daughter.

Four young men, Balagopalan aka Balu (Mukesh), Prakashan (Siddique), Freddy (Keerikkadan Jose) & Benny, join Jaffer Sherif's (Mammukoya) 'Oscar Film Institute', aspiring to become actors & directors, but even after many tries, success eluded them. Balu's father Velandi (Mala Aravindan), a Parrot Astrologer, passes away, forcing Balu to take up astrology to feed his family. When a few of his predictions about Kerala politics comes true by fluke, Balu rises to fame as a 'Political Astrologer".

Kurukshetra is based on the Kargil War of 1999, fought between India and Pakistan. Colonel Mahadevan (Mohanlal), who leads the army unit posted at Kargil, has as his mission the re-capturing of Indian territory that had earlier been run over by the enemy. Jnanashekhara Varma (Murali), a top cop, gets murdered after an anti-corruption tirade against the Revenue department of the ministry. Chandrashekharan IPS (Suresh Gopi), who has the nickname "The Tiger", gets handed the case. Soon after, Suhara Ahammed (Gopika), a TV journalist who was investigating Revenue minister Varkichan Narimattom (Rajan P. Dev), & her cameraman Kishore (Vineeth Kumar), goes missing. In the sequel to 'Devasuram', Mangalassery Neelakantan's (Mohanlal) son Karthikeyan (Mohanlal), who is now a rich businessman, continues the family rivalry with the Mundakkal family. Mundakkal Shekaran acquires a local bank which holds the mortgage on the Mangalassery ancestral home & forecloses on it, pushing out Neelakantan & Warrier (Innocent) onto the streets. Karthikeyan vows to get it back & kidnaps Shekaran's daughter Janaki (Vasundhara Das) & holds her as ransom, in return for the house.

Anand Menon (Dileep) is a junior artists supplier for Malayalam movies, who works on commission. When he learns that his mother, who had separated from him when he was young, died in Germany, & his younger brother Akash Menon (Dileep), is returning to India to be with him, he dreams of it to be a way out of his debt-ridden life & arranges a big house & other luxuries to treat Akash. However, his dreams are shattered when he finds at the airport that Akash is autistic & doesn't recognize him.

Kumaran (Mohanlal) runs the college canteen in Mahatma College & has his hand in everything from the running of the college to the protection of the students. Sethunathan (Siddique), Education Minister, tries various tricks to acquire the college, but Kumaran foils them all. Finally, Sethunathan traps Kumaran in the form of a planned bus accident of the college tour bus Kumaran was driving, causing the death of many students, & landing the blame on Kumaran. Kumaran now must prove his innocence.

Gopakumar (Mohanlal) buys a house from Dr. Muralikrishnan (Mukesh) to establish an office for his garment exporting business, only to find that Muralikrishnan's estranged wife Teresa (Sukanya) & kid are still living there, refuse to move out. After learning that Teresa's closest friends Prameela (Mohini) & Rahna (Muthumani) are also separated from their husbands, Gopakumar, with the help of his assistant Kamala (Meera Jasmine) & Immanuel (Innocent), decides to patch up their relationships.

Vishnu (Jayaram), a Malayali working in Bombay, meets & falls in love with Arundhati (Parvathi), another Malayali working in Bombay. They get married in Kerala, but come back to Bombay to find that finding a place to rent for them to live together was tougher than they thought.

Kunjikrishnan (Sreenivasan), the eldest son of a famed Ayurvedic doctor Thirrussheri Madhavan Vaidyar (Thilakan) is a good-for-nothing who often messes up things at his father's clinic. He runs away after he prescribes wrong medicine to a patient which results in his near-death. Months later, with the help of a thief Chacko (Jagathi) as his assistant, Kunjikrishnan returns to his village & sets up shop as a divine healer, soon becoming famous & sabotaging his Doctor brother's medical practice.

Two young men - Balagopalan aka Balu (Jayaram) & Jayakumar (Jagathi) - frustrated after many failed attempts at starting a business, starts a concierge service called "We Help", with the help of a benevolent lawyer Madhavan Thampi. Balu gets close to a heiress Indu (Parvathi), who is found murdered soon after, with the blame falling on Balu & Jayakumar, who happened to be at the scene of the crime. They set out to prove their innocence & to find Indu's killer, with the help of Madhavan Thampi.

Six mimicry artists - Sabu (Siddique), Unnikrishnan (Jagadish), Jimmy (Asokan), Nissar (Sainuddin), Manoj (Baiju) & Anwar (Kalabhavan Ansar) - stumble upon an accident scene, from where Nissar steals a teddy bear, which they later find to contain diamonds. Afraid to go to the Police, & learning that the diamonds belong to the smuggler Kasargod Kadarbhai, they go in search of Kadarbhai, only to chicken out & return. Kasargod Kadarbhai's men get on their tail & they go on the run from Kadarbhai.

Arundhathi Menon (Urvashi) gets pimped by a family friend Brahmadattan (Jayaram), to procure a job for himself. Arundhathi's father kills himself in humiliation & she ends up at a whorehouse. Later, she meets James (Balachandra Menon) & becomes his girlfriend, but loses him to a weak heart. A pregnant Arundhathi is raped by James's friends George (Lalu Alex) & gang, causing a miscarriage, after which she returns to her hometown. There, she meets Balagopalan (Suresh Gopi), her childhood friend.

Four unemployed young men - Jayan (Mukesh), Sunny (Siddique), Suresh (Saikumar), Abdul Nasar (Sainuddin) - start an employment agency promising everyone a job if they register with them after paying Rs. 50. After spending all of it, they realize that procuring jobs for others wasn't as easy as they thought. As they tried to abscond at night, a woman (Chithra) running away from someone, seeks refuge with them. When they wake up in the morning they find the woman dead, along with their pal Suresh.

A young man, Ajayan (Jagadish), after the financing company he was a cashier in, sinks, runs off to Madras to escape public wrath. There, he stumbles upon a young girl child someone left on the railway tracks to die. He rescues the child & later tries to dispose of her in various ways, but the child always ended up back with him. After a while, Ajayan becomes attached to the child, names her Kukku & takes up a job to support her. At that point, the child's real mother turns up & claims her.

Anwar Ali aka Alibhai (Mohanlal) rules the Calicut Palayam market as their protector & leader. Two enemies from his past team up to destroy him & the market - Sundaran Thampi (Siddique), the son of his father's rival Karunakaran Thampi (Rajan P. Dev), whose right hand Ali had chopped off as a kid & Daniel Abraham, son of Ambubhai (Saikumar), a rowdy, whom Ali had beaten in the market & bedridden when he was a youth.

Malini Laxman (Madhavi), a PhD student invents a vaccine which would make a human immune to narcotics, but the formula gets stolen from her, her husband killed & she jailed for selling drugs, in a plot masterminded by her professor Ramamoorthy (Charu Haasan), Poonthurayil Itty (Rajan P. Dev) & Police commissioner Sathyanathan (Soman). Malini ends up in Mumbai where she becomes wealthy from the Mumbai Underworld & returns as Aparna, to take revenge on the people responsible for her losses.

Two friends - Sethumadhavan aka Sethu (Jayaram) & Roy (Mukesh) - after trying out various odd jobs, decide to steal, which lands them in jail. After their release, they part ways & Sethu starts working in a tea estate in Sooryagiri, posing as Albert Alex, with Albert's certificates given to him by their friend Chakkunni (Jagathi). When a criminal dies in an accident with Albert's work address in his pocket, cop Isaac Thomas's attention falls on Sethu. Sethu & Roy tries to find the real Albert.

A con-artist, Gopinathan aka Gopi (Siddique), a pick-pocket Mathunni (Sainuddin), & a law-school dropout Maya Devi (Urvashi), are friends & neighbors & pulls off a couple of con schemes together. Later, Gopi gets selected as a Sub Inspector of Police, after which he turns incorrupt. Misunderstandings drives Gopi & Maya apart, but they still loved each other. When some wealthy jewels & statues get stolen from the govt. museum by some bigwigs, Gopi, Mathunni & Maya team up again to retrieve them.

Vishnu Menon, Regional Manager of Indo-Arab Travels & a martinet, has 7 unrealistic conditions for his future bride including the girl being able to cook various cuisines, be fluent in Hindi, know driving & Carnatic music & be brave. Vishnu's friend & co-worker Krishnankutty (Jagadish) & brother-in-law V.G. Kurup (Jagathi) tricks him into marrying his steno Lathika (Urvashi) after deceiving him into believing that Lathika had all the qualities. After the marriage, they try to keep up the story.

Harikrishnan (Sreenivasan) & Ravi Kumar (Siddique) are best friends & neighbors. Hari is happily married to Viji (Monisha) & Ravi is on the lookout for a suitable bride. But Hari is in for a rude shock when Ravi meets & decides to marry Indu (Shobana), whom Hari is convinced knows about Hari's dark past. A disturbed Hari seeks the help of his constable friend Purushothaman aka Purushu (Jagadish). Purushu, along with a small-time thief Thankappan (Mammukoya), hatch a plan to deal with the issue.

Ashwathy (Suchitra) & Mary are co-workers at 'New India Chemicals', but hate each others' guts & are always fighting with each other at work. Aswathy & her husband Dr. Balakrishnan aka Balu (Siddique) move to a new rental home, only to find that their neighbor is Mary. Mary's husband Zakaria (Jagadish) turns out to be Balu's old pal. Zakaria & Balu decides to reconcile their wives' differences, but soon they are also drawn into the conflict, with disastrous results for both families.

Thirumuttathu Kochuthomman (Thilakan) & his youngest son Roy (Jayaram), were more of friends than father & son. Roy whiles away his life pursuing his passion of drama, incurring the wrath of the family, except that of Kochuthomman, who supported him secretly. However, when Roy marries Bhavana (Samyuktha Varma), a poor girl, Kochuthomman kicks Roy out of his house & his life. Roy, abased by this & faced with the sudden prospect of poverty & unemployment, determines to eke out a living on his own.

At the behest of marriage broker Chandy (Jagathi), Georgootty's (Jayaram) father (Babu Nampoothiri) gets him married to wealthy Cheerankandath Ittichan's (Thilakan) daughter Alice (Sunitha) by lying about their family's financial position. After learning the truth, an angry Ittichan forces Georgootty to live at his house like a manservant. After getting humiliated for a long time, Georgootty gets tired of his life, & decides to get even with Ittichan with his brains & with the help of his pals.

Circumstances force Ramanujan aka Ram (Jayaram) to share a train coupe & subsequently his apartment, with Jyothi (Soundarya), posing as husband & wife, in Chennai. On the eve of Jyothi's marriage, the groom's family learns of this, leading to the wedding getting called off. Unable to bear the news, Jyothi's father (Nedumudi) gets hospitalized & he gets Jyothi forcibly married to Ram. An angry Jyothi, who assumes that Ram cheated her into this, gives Ram a cold shoulder, after their marriage.

At the behest of Fr. Gomez (Gopi), Sethuramaiyer (Mammootty), along with aide Chacko (Mukesh), travels to Kannur Jail to meet death row convict & serial killer Isow Alex (Kalabhavan Mani), where Alex had a confession - of the 7 murders he was convicted of, 5 in Irani & 2 in Nadamangalam, he was innocent of the first murder in Nadamangalam - that of businessman Manikunju (Ramachandran V.). Sethuramaiyer reopens the case & investigates with the help of Chacko & prentice Ganeshan (Vineeth Kumar).

After introvert Malayalam college lecturer Premachandran (Jayaram) moves into his new house in the housing colony of Santhi Nager, with wife Sulochana (Gautami) & mom (Meena), he is frustrated by Sulochana's adoration towards the ways of gabby socialite neighbor Rajeevan (Siddique) & his public display of affection towards his wife Radhika (Vaishnavi). Taking up his friend Gomas's (Babu Nampoothiri) advise, Premachandran tries to "express" more love towards Sulochana, with disastrous results.

Parallel college lecturers Sujanapalan (Jagadish), Aravindan (Siddique) & Gangan (Raju) gets fed up with their stingy roommate & coworker Gopalakrishnan (Sreenivasan) & play a game on him to make him spend - they write love letters to him pretending as a girl, Radhika (Rekha) & Gopalakrishnan falls head over heels in love with Radhika through the letters. Things gets complicated when Gopalakrishnan tries to meet Radhika in person & marry her, & faces rejection & humiliation in the process.

Oyyarath Magaranth Ramanathan aka OMR (Mohanlal), a Singapore based magnate, sponsors a 9-member all-girl band called 'Red Chillies' who also doubled up as RJs at his Cochin based FM station. The girls are blamed for the death of a guy named Ricky (Byon), found dead in their house, & for the hit & run death of 10 people, which included communist leader Maani Varghese (Thilakan). While the public & police blamed OMR for Maani's death, OMR comes to Kerala to find the truth & vindicate himself.

Ravindranath (Mammootty), living with his Hindi-speaking wife Seetha (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) & two daughters in Bhilai, had left home for 18 years. When his coworker Hameed (Vishnuprakash) dies in an accident at the steel plant, Ravi & family finally comes to Kerala, accompanying Hameed's body. Reaching home, what Ravi saw was his hapless mother Lakshmi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) surrounded by greedy & selfish family members. Not willing to let his family go to ruins, Ravi tries to set things straight.

Sivasankaran (Jayaram) joins Vamadevakurup Memorial College, run by the Kurup brothers of the Kavumbatt family, in the village of Peruvannapuram, as a peon, where Kurups' younger sister Kunju Lakshmi (Parvathi) also studies. Misunderstandings between Kunju Lakshmi & Sivasankaran leads to Sivasankaran getting suspended from his job. Menaced by the Kurups, Sivasankaran vows to marry Kunju Lakshmi within 15 days. Sivasankaran, with the support of the villagers, now has to win Kunju Lakshmi's heart.

Giri R. Menon (Jayaram), a station master at the hill station of Krishnagudi, in Andhra Pradesh, falls in love with Meenakshi (Manju Warrier), sister-in-law of Army Major Pavithran (Balachandra Menon). Meenakshi, bound to a promise she gave her father (Narendra Prasad) to marry her parentless cousin & spoiled brat Akhilendran (Biju Menon), initially rejects Giri's proposal, but eventually agrees to accept Giri, if Akhil doesn't turn up in 6 months' time.

Josekutty (Sudheesh), an orphan, slips into the world of crime after teaming up with petty thief Mayyanad Madhavan (Sreenivasan), but is arrested & jailed. After his release, in a heist gone wrong, he kills a security guard, for which Madhavan accepts the blame & goes to jail. Josekutty, who was trying in vain to get himself jailed, helps an old lady in distress, Rachael Mathew (Srividya), thereby becoming a member of her household & gets close to Rachael's adopted daughter Elsa (Monisha).

Sreedevi (Ambika) comes with her brain-damaged husband, IPS officer Baburaj (Ratheesh), to Kodaikanal, to help him recover. There, she meets Raghavan (Mohanlal), a trucker, who aids in Baburaj's recovery. After Baburaj started regaining his memory, he realizes that Raghavan is in reality, an escaped death row con, Antony Isaac, convicted for murdering his wife, Lalitha, for having an affair. Ivan (Innocent), the middle-class owner of 'Ivan Tile Factory', gets trapped in a labor strike engineered by rival Koyikkal Balan Thampi (T.P. Madhavan) via trade union leader Kozhinjaampara Lolan (Ganesh Kumar). As per the advice of lawyer Susheelan (Siddique) & pal Harishchandran (Jagadish), Ivan goes into hiding, to put the blame of his disappearance on Lolan & to bust the strike. However, things turn sour when Ivan is said to be killed & the cops put the blame on Susheelan & Harishchandran.

Teshildar Priyadarsini (Nandini) refuses to give up her office to newly appointed Teshildar Ramakrishnan (Sreenivasan) & gets Sagar Kottappuram (Mohanlal), Ramakrishnan's pal & famous novelist, arrested for mistakenly entering her house. Sagar gets Priyadarsini suspended & Ramakrishnan assumes office, but in revenge, Priyadarsini frames them both for rape. Abased & angry, Sagar starts a sensational serial novel called 'Oru Gazetted Yakshi' in 'Manjadi' magazine, to sully Priyadarsini's repute.

Prabhakara Varma (Siddique) & wife, of royal bloodline, gets killed & their gardener Koonikkal Vasu (Murali) jailed for it. His sister Uma's (Urvashi) lover & staff newsman Suresh (Suresh Gopi) smells a rat.

Induchoodan (Renjith), a radical, along with his comrades, including best friend Harikrishnan (Siddique), plots to kill an evil landlord Chacko (Rajamani), but ends up killing someone else by mistake. Even after severe torture, a captured Induchoodan doesn't reveal any names. Jailed for 6 years, he comes out, starts life anew & raises a family, but when he learns that Chacko was still carrying on his atrocities, he leaves his life & family behind & returns to his revolutionary ways.

Balamani (Navya Nair), a maid at the house of the 84-year old Unniyamma (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) in Guruvayur, & Manu (Prithviraj), Unniyamma's grandson, fall in love, but the disparity in their social statuses get in the way & Manu's marriage is fixed to a US-based girl by his mother Thankam (Revathy). However, on the eve of the wedding, the bride-to-be elopes with someone else & Manu's extended family starts searching for a replacement. Bringing up Balamani's name, however, draws stiff opposition.

Madhavankutty (Jayaram), an Ayurvedic doctor on the death row, accused of two murders he didn't commit, escapes from jail, with the help of jail superintendent Mathew Stephen's (Nedumudi Venu) daughter Emi (Mathu), to prove his innocence. He ends up in a forest area where he is given refuge by Velu Asan (Thilakan), an elderly man, who had mistakenly shot Madhavankutty. Hot on Madhavankutty's trail was cop Nandakumar (Siddique), Madhavankutty's ex-flame Shobha Menon's (Gautami) husband.

Jobless Jitendra Varma aka Joji (Mukesh) goes to Malappuram posing as his pal Kunjalikutty, a Muslim, at Kunjalikutty's (Siddique) behest, so that Kunjalikutty could go to Dubai for a job instead. At Malappuram, his coworker Aliyar (Jagathi Sreekumar) smells a rat & tries to expose him, whilst Joji gets close to Gauri (Mathu), sister of the prominent Kurup brothers. Meanwhile, Kunjalikutty also lands in Malappuram after being defrauded of his visa in Mumbai by criminal Jaffer Khan (Rizabawa).

Inspector General of Police Durgaprasad IPS (Suresh Gopi) investigates the roots of a bomb blast which took place in Chala, Trivandrum & the murder of Home Secretary Paul Joseph (V.K. Sriraman). His efforts pits him against the coterie of ex-minister Beerankutty (Saikumar), businessman Skaria Zacharia (Ashish Vidyarthi) & city police commissioner Vijay Basker (Subair). Durgaprasad also learns of a mole in his team who worked for Skaria & tries to smoke him out.

Desperate for cash to marry off his sister Urmila (Sangeetha), music-loving, sports-loving Hariprasad (Jagadish) poses to be the exact opposite of his personality to work at G.G. Gopinatha Menon (Jagadish), along with his film representative friend Samson (Siddique), get into a fix when a box containing film reels they were carrying gets mixed up with a box containing 40 lakhs in cash. They try to hide their newly found wealth, but have to go on the run after the thugs whose cash they found, come after them. They take refuge with a bar singer, Susan (Chitra), but an act of self-defense results in Susan also tagging along with them.

At the behest of Kerala Chief Minister Shekaran (Janardanan), DySP Ashok Nariman (Suresh Gopi) reopens the case of convicted double murderer Manu (Vijayakumar). Convinced that Manu was framed by some powerful figures including top criminal lawyer Padmanabhan Thampi (Siddique), Nariman builds a case against them, but it gets thrown out in court. Angry but not giving up, Nariman tries a different tactic by framing Thampi & his coterie in a fabricated case.

After Amala (Sangeetha), a nun, who was also a lawyer, gets killed, the government summons Delhi-based cop Idamattom Palackal Easo Panicker (Suresh Gopi) & appoints him as Deputy Inspector General of Police, to investigate the case & bring the murderers to justice.

Elephant lover & ex-mahout Ayyappan Nair (Innocent) finally gets to own his own elephant Sreevidya, by taking out a loan. His plans to make money off Sreevidya, whom he buys from a circus company, back fires however, when it turns out that the elephant doesn't understand any Malayalam, and only Hindi. Ayyappan Nair decides to learn Hindi & gets a private tutor in the form of Vinayachandran (Mukesh). But Vinayachandran's real aim was to get close to Ayyappan Nair's daughter Karthika (Sunitha).

In this threequel to 'In Harihar Nagar', Thomaskutty (Asokan) buys a supposedly haunted mansion from an old lady, Dorothy Fernandes, with the intention of starting a tourist resort there. However, in order to convince the townsfolk that the mansion wasn't really haunted, Thomaskutty requests his old friends Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique) & Appukkuttan (Jagadish) to stay there with him for a week. However, soon they realize that there were evil forces at work in the mansion.

Recording company executive Rakesh Menon (Siddique) & friends regularly hosts a weekly Friday night dinner where they invite the dumbest guy they could find & have fun at his expense. At the suggestion of a friend, he invites singer C.R. Krishnanunni (Jagadish) to his house to see if he'd be a suitable Friday night dinner guest. Rakesh, suffering from back pain, has to cancel the dinner, & gets stuck with the loud-mouth Krishnanunni who turns Rakesh's life upside down.

Born into an Ezhava family, in an era when people from backward communities like the Ezhavas faced social injustices in the caste-ridden Kerala society, Sree Narayana Guru led the Reform movement in Kerala, revolted against casteism & worked on propagating new values of freedom in spirituality & social equality, thereby transforming the Kerala society.

Manu Varma (Bala), neck deep in debt in Dubai, pins his hopes on his estranged late-father Varma (Saikumar) to leave him some money, only to find to his dismay that Varma had left everything to a brother Manu never knew he had, Alexander. Manu goes to India to see Alexander (Mohanlal), an autistic savant, who had been institutionalized for murder. Getting Alexander out for a few days, Manu tries to get Alexander to sign off his newly inherited wealth to him, only to be frustrated at every turn.

Varadanunni (Indrajith), son of a Kathakali artist, is forced to take up arms against gangster J.S. (Siddique), who wipes out his family after they witness a murder committed by him. Three struggling friends - Pavithran (Jayaram), a Hindu, Jimmy (Siddique), a Christian & Basheer (Jagathi Sreekumar), a Muslim, separately come to the Thripathoor palace in response to an ad calling for eligible Kshatriya bachelors to be adopted by Rajashekara Varma (Narendra Prasad) & wife Lakshmi (Jayabharati) of Thripathoor. Trying to be the chosen one, they adopt fake Kshatriya names & compete & try to outwit each other, but soon has to contend with a 4th candidate - Seena (Easwari Rao).

Gopalakrishnan (Jagadish), a popular paperboy from the Hindustan slums, becomes the Home Minister of Kerala in a political move by politico Kunjikannan Nambiar (Narendra Prasad). However, when after taking office, Gopalakrishnan fails to oblige Nambiar, Nambiar decides to take him out by engineering a communal unrest in the Hindustan slums & holding Gopalakrishnan responsible for failing to prevent it.

Best friends Vishwam (Mohanlal) & Johnny (Lal), struggling to get by in Mumbai with their shady pasts & often under the scrutiny of the cops, kill a man, Damodaran (Siddique), in a mishap. Knowing about Damodaran's whereabouts from a bag he leaves behind, Vishwam feels obligated to help his family & goes to Kerala, & although is rebuffed by Damodaran's headstrong sister Bhanu (Manju Warrier), sticks around. Soon Johnny also follows suit to Kerala, but Vishwam gets concerned about Johnny's ways.

Gokul Das aka 'G' (Dileep), a reformed thug, takes up a job as a driver at the house of rich businessman Vishwanathan (Devan), where he tries to save Vishwanathan's daughter Sreepriya (Roma) from a group of contract killers. Escaping a kidnapping attempt from the group, G & Sreepriya gets lost in the jungle, causing back home, everyone, including ASP Ramachandran (Siddique), Vishwanathan's friend, suspects G & Sreepriya of having eloped together.

Millionaire heiress Sandra Punnoose (Pavithra), after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, decides to end her life by anonymously hiring a professional killer from Mumbai, Christy Lopez (Prithviraj), to kill herself. However, when later she learns that her disease was curable, she wishes to live, but Christy doesn't give up on his attempts to kill her. Urumees (Mammootty), with the strength of 6 people but with the brain of a 6 year old, is a source of constant sorrow for his aging mother Mariamma (Showkar Janaki) & Urumees's antics forces them to move constantly. On one such occasion they come to the Green Valley tea estate of Nilgiri Hills to work, where Urumees rubs the brutal manager of the estate, Sivan (Raghuvaran), the wrong way. Because of the workers' support for Urumees, Sivan plays his cards so as to turn the workers against him.

Overly superstitious school teacher Sadanandan's (Dileep) world is shattered after charlatan astrologer Mannunnikkavu Krishnanunni (Jagathi Sreekumar) "predicts" his death in a little over a month. Scrambling to secure his wife Sumangala's (Kavya Madhavan) & their daughter's futures, Sadanandan, & later Sumangala too after she learns of the "prediction", count their days with heavy hearts.

The patriarch of the Meledathu family, farmer Raghavan Nair (Mammootty), starts seeing discords in his joint family, after his educated lawyer younger brother Vijayan (Siddique) marries a rich girl to consolidate his social status, despite Raghavan's protests. Vijayan's self-willed & chesty bride, Shobha (Ilavarasi), wrecks havoc in the household, driving up tempers & fraying relationships, which results in Raghavan & his family leaving the house.

The patriarch of the Arakkal family, Madhavanunni (Mammootty), dotes over his 4 younger brothers & they in turn are ready to kill or die for Madhavanunni. Patteri Sivaraman Nair (Saikumar), their cousin & Madhavanunni's arch rival, bitter over his constant failures at the hands of Madhavanunni, teams up with Mambram Bava (N.F. Varghese), a communal leader & kingpin, to hurt Madhavanunni by targeting his brothers.

Four inmates - Benny (Mukesh), Keshu (Thilakan), Krishnankutty (Jagathi Sreekumar) & Venu (Siddique) - escape from a mental asylum & embark on an adventure in Kochi. They get jobs, get recruited as actors in a TV show & inadvertently stop a bank robbery.

The powerful & affluent Thevakattu family of Avarachan (Janardanan) & his six sons are challenged by the upstart P.K. group led by Prakkaadan Kochousepp (Narendra Prasad) & his brothers Andrews (Sphadikam George) & Aloshi (Saikumar), to avenge an old family feud which had left their only sister Kochammini (Srividya) in a vegetative state.

Feigning insanity & escaping military duty, Unni (Jayaram) returns home, but afraid of being exposed by his rival neighbor, police constable Kesava Kurup (Siddique), absconds to Cochin with friend Velappan (Jagathi Sreekumar). After a few years after his wife Sumitra's death by falling off a train, rich businessman Balachandran (Suresh Gopi) marries Seethalakshmi (Sriranjini) & brings her to his mansion & tea estate. Trouble begins when a human skeleton is found in the estate from an abandoned well, & is identified to be that of Sumitra, shot dead by a bullet wound. Suspicion falls on Balachandran & sharp-minded cop Mohammed Kutty (Siddique) investigates.

Eager to see Malli, Kocherukkan breaks out of jail, only to become more wanted in the eyes of the law.

In this sequel to 'Mimics Parade (1991)', Jimmy (Asokan) leaves 'Kaladarshana' after a fight & forms his own mimicry troupe 'Yuvadarshana' to compete with Unni (Jagadish), Sabu (Siddique) & Co. Meanwhile, Kasim (Babu Antony), Kasarkode Khaderbai's (Alummoodan) son, arrives from Mumbai to seek revenge against the Kaladarshana artists for sending his father to jail. Seeing as how Kaladarshana's fall would benefit him too, Jimmy offers to help Kasim with his efforts.

60 years after a lass of the Aalathoor Thekkemadam manor, Kuttimani (Kumari Joemol), was putatively killed by her jealous lover Krishnanunni (Kunchako Boban), & after which he was hanged, the current patriarch, Valiyathan (Thilakan), looks to restart a defunct religious rite. However, things get edgy after it started to seem like the old lovers have reincarnated as Gayathri (Kumari Joemol), a young girl of the current generation & Manu (Kunchako Boban), the caretaker's son, & they fall in love.

Bharathan (Mammootty), a small-time bookie, finds a job with the new carnival in town, after which their resident stuntman James (Babu Antony) sees his importance in the carnival diminish. Framing Bharathan in an assault charge, James & local SI Cyriac Koorikkadan (V.K. Sriraman), who was already Bharathan's foe, send him to jail. Wanting to enjoy their remaining days to the fullest, they embark on a foreign tour funded by Roy, with Malaysia as their first stop.

Miffed at losing a coveted promotion as the area branch manager of Dixi Cola, assistant manager Suresh Kumar (Mukesh) gets drunk with his pals Philipose (Siddique) & Immanuel (Sainuddin), & writes a threatening letter to Suresh's boss Somashekaran Nair (Innocent). However, when it turned out that Suresh was indeed getting that job, they try desperately to get the letter back. To worsen things, Nair gets killed & the letter lands in the hands of the cops, making Suresh & pals the prime suspects.

After Balu (Jayaram) & Soorya (Sheela) fall in love & get married, but are unable to start a life because of Balu being broke, Soorya decides to try her luck as an actress in a new film, while Balu pretends to be her makeup man, to be close to her. However, ego issues & misunderstandings soon take over & they part ways. To get Soorya back, Balu returns as a makeup man again for a co-actress of Soorya's, but Soorya's director Siddarth (Siddique) has taken a fancy to her, complicating things.

Maheendra Varma (Mohanlal) gets appointed as the state Home Minister, after his aristocratic father Valiya Thampuran (Adoor Bhasi) bribes the Chief Minister (Balan K. Nair) & the party president (K.P.A.C. Sunny) to make it happen. However, after assuming power, Maheendra Varma now has to antagonize the Chief Minister & his coterie to hang onto power. Complicating things were his intention of protecting his old friend Jayan (Suresh Gopi), now a radical & on the run from the law for killing a cop.

Unnikrishnan (Jagadish), an impoverished youth always on the lookout for shortcuts in life, in a mix-up, has to don the role of the husband of Indu (Parvathi) in front of Indu's grandmother (Philomina) & uncle (Jagathi Sreekumar). Meanwhile, Indu's real husband Vishwanathan (Siddique) has to play the role of Unnikrishnan's friend, in his own house. Indu's friend Latha (Rupini), meanwhile, has an ongoing tiff with Unnikrishnan on account of pretending to be his wife & stealing his job.

Pirappancode Prabhakaran (Jayaram) & Pindimana Paulraj (Jagadish), two out of work drama artists, finds themselves in a caper after they try to rescue rich heiress Yamuna (Anusha) who was illegally detained at a mental asylum by its owner Dr. Krishnakumar (Rizabawa), who was seeking revenge against Yamuna for jilting him. To get close to Yamuna, Prabhakaran poses as a madcap himself & gets admitted there, but things don't go per plan when Prabhakaran gets stuck there with no means of escape.

Unni (Mukesh), Rajendran (Siddique) & Salim (Sainuddin) were 3 friends who were enjoying the fun of bachelorhood & into their lives walked in Indu (Radha), their new coworker. Unni & Indu fall in love & get married, unbeknownst to their parents, but their plans of living together falls apart when Unni's parents come to visit, with the intention of getting Unni married to his eccentric cousin Minikutty (Kalpana).

Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri (Jagadish), a village bumpkin, comes to the city after his wife Umadevi (Athira) gets a job at the bank. Pappu aka Padmanabhan (Jayaram) is just out of jail, after serving a life sentence for the crime of murdering a college mate during the Annual Day celebrations. Pappu gathers up his old college friends Rex Manuel (Kunchacko Boban), Philip Idikkula (Biju Menon) & Rashid Munna (Manoj K Jayan), with a plan in mind - to go back to college to relive their old days. Pappu, however has an ulterior motive - to find the real culprit of the crime for which he did time.

A stranger (Jayaram) comes to a village where a father, Madhava Menon (Thilakan), had been waiting for his long-lost son Balan for 15 long years, along with Balan's childhood sweetheart Ashwathy (Kanaka), who had remained unmarried for Balan. The stranger pronounces himself to be Balan & gives Menon & Ashwathy a new lease of life. Days later, when everyone seemed happy, the real Balan (Saikumar) shows up. The stranger was actually Vikraman, a criminal from Mumbai, hiding away from his own gang.

Bank manager Omanakuttan (Mukesh) leads a happy life with his wife (Sarayu) & daughter, despite the constant barbs from his father-in-law Lambodharan Pillai (Jagathi Sreekumar) over Omanakuttan's fixation with drama. The arrival of Pavanan Parassala (Suraaj Venjarammoodu) in the hamlet, who claimed to be a famed director, changes Omanakuttan's life when he is roped in to fund a film & act in it. But Pavanan turns out to be a sham & Omanakuttan is stuck with the job of finishing the film himself.

Now mentally imbalanced, Gracy lives a life of relative solitude, with a couple of helpers. Aleena (Mamta Mohandas), a journalist, walks into Gracy's life with the intend of doing a documentary on her, but soon Aleena's interests also spread out to uncovering the real reasons behind Gracy's departure from the cinema & the cause of her mental illness.

Balu (John), Viswam (Fahad Fazil) & Usman (Praveen) are all set to leave for a cricket selection tournament scheduled at Bangalore. Balu has an accident & the other two are disheartened when they find that their flight from Kochi has been cancelled. It's then that their friend Aswathy (Rupa Manjari) suggests that they go on a road trip all the way to Bangalore & also agrees to join them. They meet Bobby (Manu) at the airport, who was also headed for the tournament & who joins them on their trip.

In the reality TV obsessed Kerala, a TV channel, 'Real TV', decides to telecast live, the life of a young girl, Manjula Ayyappan (Nithya Menon), the first contestant of a new reality show called 'Thatsamayam Oru Penkutty', that has an entire camera crew following her wherever she goes for a month. Manjula transforms from a villager to a pop icon on-screen, while a ruthless channel CEO Ravi (Siddique) & senior producer Thomas Joseph (Baburaj) manipulates her life to keep the show's rating high.

Vinod Menon (Suresh Gopi) , a shrewd young man, poses as a savvy investor & businessman & earns the trust of industrialist Mr. Menon (Prathapachandran), marries his daughter Rekha (Urvashi) against her wishes, & gets control over Menon's companies. But Vinod continues to get frustrated over the fact that all assets were still under Rekha's name, & in collusion with his girlfriend Daisy (Silk Smitha), hires hatchet man Robert (Babu Antony), to kill Rekha.

Building contractor Hariharan Pillai (Mohanlal) takes on the work of building a house for Satyapalan (C.I. Paul), a rich man, but who later stiffs Hariharan by constantly delaying payment. The nonavailability of funds snowballs into a nightmare for Hariharan, with every creditor coming after his hide. In between this, a prank played by Satyapalan's daughter Kavya (Jyothirmayi) involving an underage girl, gets Hariharan arrested & brings humiliation, further complicating his troubles.

Sreeramakrishnan (Prithviraj) & Milan Paul (M. Sasikumar) are best friends from college who are now a choleric cop & a socially conscious journo who frequently work together. Sree gets the task of investigating the murder-suicide of businessman Balagangadhar (Vijayaraghavan) who was killed by a girl who seemingly didn't have anything to do with him. Two other murders quickly follow, all with unrelated victims & perps, & Sree & Milan try to unravel the pattern & motives behind the murders.

Frustrated by the intransigence of the honest Home Minister of Kerala, Venugopal (Jagathi Sreekumar), a criminal gang replaces Venugopal with a lookalike - a loudmouth dancer with a weakness for wine & women, Manikantan (Jagathi Sreekumar), to help them steal space technology from the government. While Manikantan stumbles through a series of follies in his newfound job, the real minister who escapes the gang's murder attempt, suffers away in a mental asylum.

Local school teacher Kannan (Siddique) has Mathukutty (Jayaram), a Christian street musician, pretend to be Sethumadhavan, a qualified Hindu bandmaster for his school band, which lead them to tell many lies to keep the act up. Lalitha), school peon Pushkaran (Jagadish), in cahoots with Gomathi's henpecked husband Govindan (Jagathi), launch a crusade to expose Mathukutty.

'Human Tiger Force', a terrorist group, takes refuge in the Bison Valley forest of Idukki, Kerala, to launch attacks against Indian targets. Heading the group was Nitin Josh (Madhupal), a Malayalee, who also had his wife Chandini (Anusha) & young son Shinaz living in the nearby village as civilians. Sebastian (Siddique), a cop on duty to catch the terrorists is killed by them, along with his family, causing for Shyam Mohan (Suresh Gopi), a central intelligence officer, to take up the cause.

Raja (Mammootty) & Kari (Lal) are fraternal twins who often evoke disbelief because of Raja being fair & Kari being dark, with Kari himself always suspecting that they got swapped at birth. They buy the house of John Samuel (Lalu Alex) & woo his daughters Annie (Kanika) & Sherly (Padmapriya). Brothers Isaac (Babu Antony) & Albert, who were after the sisters & Samuel's hospital cause frequent woes for them & Samuel decides to settle the matter with a boxing match between Raja-Kari & Isaac-Albert.

Ananthan Pillai (Thilakan) & Achuthan Pillai (Thilakan) are identical twins with the former a cop & the latter a thief. Ananthan witnesses a murder committed by Basheer (Ravindran), the spoiled son of businessman Sulaiman (V.K. Sriraman), which Ananthan refuses to back down from testifying in court. Sulaiman gets Ananthan killed, but Ananthan's & Achuthan's families pretend that it was actually Achuthan who got killed, & Achuthan dons the guise of Ananthan, to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Vishwanathan (Mukesh), Managing Director of 'Bharathi Tyres' was a carefree guy in attitude & with expenses, in stark contrast to his frugal & pragmatic wife Anitha (Sonia Agarwal), with the result that Anitha often got frustrated at his extravagance. Alex Chandy (Siddique), Vishwanathan's old rival, arrives in town at the helm of a competing tire company & drives Bharathi Tyres out of business. Out of work, Vishwanathan is forced to downsize & is supported by Anitha, who joins Alex's company.

In this sequel to 'August - 1...? (1988)', a coterie of crooked businessmen - Selvam (Ranjith), Eepan (Johny) & Narayanan (Chali Pala) - frustrated with the upright Kerala Chief Minister V.G. Venu (Mohanlal), a poor young man struggling to support his family, is asked by rich businessman K.M.K. Menon (Thilakan) to marry his terminally ill daughter Sarojam (Urvashi), in return for financial security. Venu reluctantly agrees & has a good life with Sarojam till she passes away due to her illness after a few years. Their daughter Ammukutty grows up & is diagnosed with the same illness, causing for Venu to look for a similar groom for her to keep her happy till the end of her days.

Uthaman (Jayaram), an orphan, makes a living by doing odd jobs around the local police station & for the cops & their families. After some initial spats, Uthaman strikes a bond with the new Sub Inspector Jayaraj (Siddique) & his mother (Kaviyoor Ponnamma). Jayaraj accidentally kills Alexy (Meghanadhan), a local bigwig who was tyrannizing the village, & Uthaman accepts the responsibility for the crime to save Jayaraj. Alexy's brother Sunny (Babu Antony) arrives in town to avenge Alexy.

Faizal (Dulquer Salmaan), the only son of a rich businessman, Abdul Razak (Siddique), studies a chef's course in Switzerland against Razak's wishes. As the relation between father & son breaks, Faizal goes in search of his grandfather, Karim (Thilakan), who ran a restaurant, "Ustad Hotel', in Kozhikode. A strong bond develops between Karim & Faizal, & Faizal staves off a takeover of the hotel by the owner (Jinu Joseph) of a rich 5 star hotel nearby.

Aliened lovers, ace cameraman Venu (Mohanlal) & reporter Renuka (Amala Paul), go on the run after they are duped into broadcasting a fake murder on TV, when the murdered man shows up alive later. This was a plot hatched by politico Bharathan Pillai (Saikumar) & businessman Rajan Kartha (Siddique) to mend their images, once ruined by Venu & Renuka in a previous sting operation. Venu & Renuka try to untangle the plot & prove their innocence, while battling their own torpid feelings for each other.

Madhavan (Saikumar), the influential bigwig & father figure of the village of Chandragiri is killed by foes from his past who descends on the village. Madhavan's son, college student Arjun (Prithviraj), is forced to take up his father's mantle after Madhavan's death & seeks revenge for his father's death.

Balachandran (Mammootty), a C.I. of Police on suspension, helps investigate the grisly murder of Thomas Punchakadan (Firoz Khan), the spoiled brat of political kingpin Varghese Punchakadan (Vijayaraghavan), despite the fact that Thomas was a foe of Balachandran, & was in fact responsible for Balachandran being suspended. Balachandran's investigation leads to a group of freewheeling youngsters & Balachandran feigns friendship to get into their inner circle.

It stars 10 lead actors, appearing as 5 couples, played by Jayasurya & Meghana Raj, Kunchacko Boban & Nithya Menon, Indrajith & Padmapriya, Shankar Ramakrishnan & Mythili, & Siddique & Ann Augustine.

Middle-aged couple Ranjith (Siddique) & Anitha (Shwetha Menon) goes through some tensions after Anitha gets pregnant at 40 & decides to keep the baby against Ranjith's wishes. Their teenage son, Pranav (Ashwin), grapples with his own demons after he locks a female friend, Pratibha, inside his steel cupboard & loses the key. Stressed out, Pranav breaks down & is whisked away by his parents to their home village, but Pranav spends every minute in fear that Pratibha was probably dead by then.

In a fishing community, a young girl named Thamara (Namitha Pramod) lives on her own at the shore & fishes for a living after the death of her father. She rescues an old man called K.P. (Nedumudi Venu) from a suicide attempt & she feels a father-like bond towards him. However the old man turns out to be not quite what he seemed & keeps changing his story causing for Thamara & her friends to go on a quest to find out K.P.'s real identity.

The film is a biopic based on the life story of J.C. Daniel (Prithviraj), the Father of Malayalam cinema, the making of his film 'Vigathakumaran' & the story of Vigathakumaran's heroine P. K. Rosie (Chandini). The film is particularly based on the novel 'Nashta Naayika' by Vinu Abraham & 'Life of J. C. Daniel', a biography of J. C. Daniel written by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan.

Struggling singer Venugopal (Mukesh) falls in love with rich girl Lakshmi (Geetha Vijayan), but faces stiff opposition from her father Sreedhara Panickar (Innocent) who had his own plans of marrying Lakshmi off to his business partner's son. Venugopal, with help from his pals, devises a plot to fake his death at the hands of Panickar & then makes a reentry as his own twin brother who was a CBI officer. The plan was to scare Panickar into thinking he was a murderer & then blackmail him with it.

Mathukkutty, leading a frustrated life as a house husband with a bossy wife Jhansamma (Muthumani), jumps at the chance & uses the opportunity to connect with old friends & relatives, including his ex-flame Rosy (Alisha Mohammed), whom he had to dump 15 years earlier to marry Jhansamma.

Father Sunny Vadakkumthala (Siddique), in the search for the perfect face to play Jesus in his upcoming light & sound show, stumbles upon long-haired Cleetus (Mammootty), whom he hires for the job. Soon after though, Fr. Vadakkumthala gets a rude awakening when Cleetus actually turns out to be a criminal. The cast of the show decides to oust Cleetus, but he earns their trust after rescuing the daughter of a cast member, & they let him stay on in an attempt to reform him.

Ramanunni mistakes Aarathi's overtures as love & falls hard for her, but is rudely awakened when city police commissioner & Aarathi's fiancé Jinachandran (Siddique) shows up & Aarathi admits that she was messing with him.

Political goon Manikandan aka Mani returns from jail after 8 years, after having taken the blame for a murder for politicians Vattakkadan Varkey (Vijayaraghavan) & Amir Hussain (Shammi Thilakan). Realizing that Varkey & Hussain had exploited him, Mani tries to start over, but is forced to enter the fray against Varkey after Varkey rapes his sister & she commits suicide. Taking advantage of an open MLA position, Mani ascends to power & takes on Varkey & Hussain.

Unni (Jayaram), a masterful chenda (a drum) player & a married man who had no interest in his own wife Kalyani (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy), is drawn to dancer Nalini (Kadambari). They have a short, but torrid affair, but they are pulled apart by Nalini's brother (Siddique), who marries Nalini off elsewhere. Unni turns into an alcoholic with deteriorating physical & mental health, whilst Nalini's new husband (Vineeth) turns out to be someone who thinks & acts like a woman.

Mamachan (Biju Menon),a small-town politician, uses his ingenuity & shrewdness to get the girl of his dreams, Lisa (Nikki Galrani), & win an election to become the M.L.A.
