Mickey puts on a show in his barnyard. A short dramatic scene by a chicken and rooster; an operatic ode by Patricia Pig, and then the main attraction: Mickey sings and plays his theme song, then dances to it. (imdb)

I much prefer mean Mickey Mouse to just a dancing and singing Mickey Mouse.

Umm Most of this I didn't like but I did enjoy Mickey's song.

The birth of the "music on the farm" theme that Mickey would keep coming back to. There's a whole barnyard vaudeville review with Apache Dancing and everything. I'm more used to the hook pulling the unpopular singers off the stage, rather than above it. Also, Mickey (evidently voiced by an unidentified woman) jazzily belts out his new theme song (which has in fact been revisited many times), "Minnie's Yoo Hoo", while contorting wildly and somewhat creepily. Ah, those old-fashioned Mickey teeth.

A classic is about to begin: Mickey and his freinds in the barnyard, the motif for several shorts to come.
