Tries to tease you in by making what the mystery is a mystery in itself but that just doesn't involve the audience enough. We're halfway through the film before we know what the plot even is. There's some nice twists and turns here though with Rochelle Hudson making a red herring worth watching for. Lorre also has some great black comedy moments during the finale. But without that immediate draw during the first half of the film the second half grand finale is too little too late by that point.

The violence of Mr. Moto! Here in the Cambodian jungle where Peter Lorre is disguised as a Joda like guru! Takes a while for this to get going, which is the big weakness. But once the plot thickens it's all leaps, machine guns and ruthless killing! You also get to look at the beautiful Rochelle Hudson a lot of the time, which is a plus. Had they only patched together a better start this would have been a really cool entry in the Mr. Moto series, but because it's so slow early on it's lukewarm.
