Mune, le Gardien de la Lune

Haphazardly animated paired with an inane story. Yawn.

Mune took a while but eventually grew on me. The animation isn't great, but it's good enough, as it blends lacklustre 3D CG with a flat 2D style for the dreams. While the backdrops may be static and plasticine-y, the film is not without its charms. The plot is good, if a bit straight-forward. The voice acting (in the English dub) is good. The excessive noises used to fill scenes skew the film towards younger children though. Not a classic, but watchable.

Liked how it blended animation styles, and also the creative ways it displayed the sun and moon worlds. There was a lot to like here. Lacked a little of that same creativity in the storytelling, but overall I liked Mune: Guardian of the Moon.
