Pirates of the High Seas

There have been many more exciting pirate tales, but few have been done in serial format. And good is that. By 1950 the cinema series format had been stale and stagnant for years, and this one doesn't bring what a sea adventure should bring. Instead it brings and looks like any serial from that period, including "add random gimmick" to the plot. Brings a casual and familiar feel to a standard action oriented style with Buster Crabbe at least keeping it together in fine manner.
