Good old john Wayne

This is a complete goofy mess played completely straight. Its not good but at least it was different and somewhat entertaining.

Lifeless poverty row western with John Wayne before he became a star. Despite only being 55 minutes long, it has terrible pacing and editing issues, with so many completely superfluous scenes of characters riding from one place to another, then riding back, then riding somewhere else... all done in complete silence. If you fast-forward those bits, you could probably watch the whole thing in 20 minutes.

Oh, this started off so promising. John Wayne walking into a room full of dead people and Gabby Hayes as the bandit disguised as a mute! And then it just falls apart and becomes just another one of those really bad westerns where they put no effort into making any sense. At least the first 5 minutes was okay. Wayne's girl this time is Alberta Vaughn. Working with John Wayne seems to be a jinx for the ladies. It's like his lips are the kiss of death, as it quickly ends their careers in Hollywood.
