Mildly amusing musical comedy, but never a homerun. Though the typewriter number was pretty clever! Ruby Keeler is adorable in her way, but her deliberately poor Brit-English was poor. As in not funny. Keep to steppin'! The one person that did liven the place up was Ross Alexander all super positive and full of energy.... just days before shooting himself in the head.
