Rose Plays Julie

Not sure what the almost android-like performance of Rose/Julie was really supposed to be about but it's decent enough.

Most of the film is one big whisper. Such a low tone, quiet film. You have to put the volume on max to grasp what anyoine is saying. IThe characters are cliche; the suffering victim, the totally bad guy., the girl who can't build an identity without meeting her brith parents. Even the situations that the characters find themselves in are cliche. Warning: there are a lot of painful moment involving animals. I wish I had known that.

An intriguing film which created a menacing atmosphere -although the themes explored were interesting I didn’t find the character particularly easy to empathise with.
