Neat little war time drama with all the appropriate elements the heroic steadfast sea captain, a love interest and a scheming Nazi. Enjoyable but predictable.

Quiet suspense at sea as Dana Andrews and Claude Rains gently clash. Philip Dorn was also important to the mood of this. Carla Balenda gets a high billing, but that's just because she was 'the girl' in the picture. The tension is between the men, and that's where the rugged excitement lay. I liked it, even if sparse on action.
