This is a story about three women from three different generations, living in post-Communism Georgia. But it's more than just that. It's a tale of cultural contrasts, of distance, of lying to someone because you love them, of despair, and of an inspiring hope for the future.

Perceptive, touching, allegorical, sociocritical, (post)communism, high believability thanks in equal part to strong writing and acting, three women, gender roles, death, loss, tragedy, survival, comedy, reminiscent of "Good Bye Lenin!" and "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days".

Excellent movie from Bertucelli. Film was shown when it participated in PÖFF (Dark Nights Film Festival). The most difficult role had Marina (Khomasuridze). Her struggle to bring the food on the table and coupe with being in the role of less favorite child was brilliantly played. Title will say, who is the favorite child.
