Stardom

I guess it tried to be different but I didn't care about the story of a models rise to stardom.

Very dissapointing compared to Arcand's other films. This one was entirely obvious, had no depth whatsoever, an entire film dedicated to saying 'showbiz is vacuous'. Eh, yeah, no shit. He seemed to just be going off about something which he might feel is important, while the viewer is left 'Yeah, ok, fine. Is that it?' Entirely lacking a story.

I didn't enjoy this film. I understand what the film was trying to do but it still I didn't work for me. The performances were generally good in this film.

Maybe this is the fault of the subject material but this is sort of gutless and it's all a bit to plastic to be impressive. Still, not bad.
