Still Mine

Beautiful movie and one of the few to capture the love still shared between a much older couple. Similar to what was accomplished in "On Golden Pond".

Gorgeous, intimate, moving film. The main character describes the beauty and truth in the small details of a well-built house—a plumb wall, a square corner—and I think the same applies to a film. All these little moments are charming enough: a meditation over the pine table, putting on his toolbelt to resume working, even the opening scenes that dwell on his agile, experienced hands. Perfectly executed parts that make so much more of the whole. Not to mention a really pitch-perfect end

Like the house this old man is building, this is made simply and well. A tiny bit sentimental for my tastes, but only a little.
