The Cement Garden

Definitely never seen a film with such blatant incest. Very impressive original soundtrack, in places i thought they licensed Gurrelieder. It's typical for the lack of recognition for good shit, and fucking sad really, that this genius soundtrack is not for sale or download anywhere. This is obviously the best soundtrack i've heard in years, and i can't listen to it anywhere, bollox!!!! This is a movie that grows in the mind over time. I can't forget it. Maybe it's a classic?

The overal visual aesthetic of the film was unique and felt timeless. I enjoyed the dialogue between the cast. The chemistry between the brother and sister worked well, especially the intense awkwardness in the first half. Brave of the writer and director to be so bold in a incestuous story. The soundtrack was brilliant, too bad it isn't available for purchase.

A dark little psycho-sexual gem.

An at once captivating, repelling journey of self-discovery and defiance of upheld moralities. I just couldn't warm up to the film's lazily handled scenario, in which an unlikely turn of events paves the way for our protagonists' self-inflicted isolation (their father suffering a heart attack and inexplicably ailing mother looking out for them financially); Those kids would've been so screwed without that bank account.

Charlotte Gainsbourg is the only reason to see this movie.
