A fantastic documentary where, as luck would have it, all the subjects are intriguing and entertaining personalities. It's also to the story's benefit that it focuses less on John's famous bank robbery and moreso on his lifestyle and aftermath of said robbery. In which case, the documentary is by extension an examination of the gay community during the civil rights era at a more personal level expressing a broad range of emotions and personality that wouldn't be apparent through news reports.
