The Lady and the Monster

An interesting variation on the mad doctor genre, being a sort of sci-fi whodunit.

The movie has an interesting concept, but it was low budget and the acting choppy.

First time in years I've seen Richard Arlen being used in a good way. Possessed by Donovan's brain, yes this is the original to the more famous Donovan's Brain (1953), Arlen shows this broken intense expression which make the horror a reality. The film is still on a low budget and the highlights are far and few between, but key moments make it a surprisingly good thriller.
