What a odd choice for Pinky Tomlin debut movie! He didn't fit in this underground world at all and completely destroyed the illusion! Hollywood rookie Robert Taylor on the other hand did fit perfectly as the handsome crook Virginia Bruce hangs with. The script however felt hacked together trying to create a cold crime world without truly capturing the feel it needed, leaving a lot to be desired while a lot of supporting favorites turns in and out of the story.
