A nice coming-of-age story told in an unconventional visual style. Not always beautiful in terms of animation, but it worked for me. The characters are well-defined and the relationships feel true to life.

There's still a lot to enjoy here, especially the beautiful way that Paola's relationship with her sister Patty develops as the years pass, with them eventually sharing a deep, sisterly love for one another that even moved me to tears at one point.
