Rasathanthram
Premachandran (Mohanlal) is a down-to-earth carpenter and is liked by the village folks. One day he meets Kanmani (Meera Jasmine), a girl of Tamil roots who is employed as a servant and is continually ill-treated by the family that employs her. Premachandran comes to her rescue. But this lands him into endless troubles and eventually into love.

After 'Nadodikkattu (1987)' and 'Pattana Pravesham (1988)', CIDs Ramdas (Mohanlal) and Vijayan (Sreenivasan) are back for another wacky adventure. Two petty thieves - "Paathira" Thankappan (Sreenivasan) & "Thorappan" Thoma (Mukesh) - gets wrongly accused of attempted murder after a failed robbery attempt & gets jailed. Thankappan gets out on parole & disappears. Thoma also gets out soon after on parole & when he drives a car to Madras in return for some money, he gets mixed up in a conflict between two rival crime gangs & goes on the run with Thankappan, whom he runs across in Madras, with a cop Vincent D'souza (Jagadish) also after them.

Balakrishnan (Mohanlal), a jobless graduate, comes to the forest of Koolankolli with this best friend elephant Vinayan, for hauling timber. There, he teams up with a Forest Ranger Sunny Varghese (Mukesh) & a caseworker Jose (Babu Nampoothiri), to stop the illegal cannabis cultivation & sandalwood thefts of Madathil Raghava Panicker (Thilakan) & his son (Suresh Gopi). He also gets close to Sreedevi (Karthika), Panicker's niece, whom Panicker wanted for his son to marry to get hold of her wealth.

Hello, My Dear Wrong Number
To retrieve some precious diamonds which were stolen from Udaya Varma (Jagannatha Varma), Police commissioner Samuel (C.I. Paul) devises a plan to fake Udaya Varma's death & recruits Ramadas (Raju) as a fake assassin. The plan goes through, but later Samuel gets killed, making Ramadas a fugitive. Meanwhile, Ramadas's girlfriend Shoba's (Menaka) brother Venugopal (Mohanlal) is on the run from David Antony Fernandez (Captain Raju), a crook who believes Venugopal knows the location of the diamonds.

3 friends - Rajendran (Raju), his cousin Prathapan (Mukesh), & Jnaneshwaran (Jagathi) - stumble upon a corpse near a creek. Afraid of the cops blaming them, they trick a boater, Kannan (T.G. Ravi), to transport the corpse, saying it was a drunk person. Kannan, learning the truth, buries it & runs away. Meanwhile, Rajendran's father Narayanan (Bahadur) is hellbent on getting him married to his friend's loony daughter Shanthi, while Rajendran tries to unite with his lover, Raji (Saleema).

Two friends - Sethumadhavan aka Sethu (Jayaram) & Roy (Mukesh) - after trying out various odd jobs, decide to steal, which lands them in jail. After Lakshmi refuses to follow through with the plan, the terrorists detain her. Eshwar, Zakir & a group of commandos launch a commando op to free her.

At the behest of Fr. Gomez (Gopi), Sethuramaiyer (Mammootty), along with aide Chacko (Mukesh), travels to Kannur Jail to meet death row convict & serial killer Isow Alex (Kalabhavan Mani), where Alex had a confession - of the 7 murders he was convicted of, 5 in Irani & 2 in Nadamangalam, he was innocent of the first murder in Nadamangalam - that of businessman Manikunju (Ramachandran V.). Sethuramaiyer reopens the case & investigates with the help of Chacko & prentice Ganeshan (Vineeth Kumar).

Film actress Ashwathi (Parvathi) is found hung from the ceiling of a room in Hotel President, where she was staying while shooting for her latest movie. K. Vishwanatha Pillai aka Vishwam (Jayaram), an unemployed grad, comes to Kochi for an interview, but is mistaken for a con artist & arrested. After the S.I. George (Mukesh) turned out to be his college friend, he goes free, but learns that there is a lookalike of his called Uthaman operating in the city, who is a criminal. After getting into various troubles over the resemblance, including losing his new-found job, a frustrated Vishwam sets out on a quest to seek out Uthaman, posing as him.

When Gauridasan had to go to the land of Brahmadesham, where the spirit was bound years ago by his father, to defeat it, the spirit assumes the form of pretty Seemanthini (Geethu Mohandas) & gets close to him, with the aim of killing him.

Jobless Jitendra Varma aka Joji (Mukesh) goes to Malappuram posing as his pal Kunjalikutty, a Muslim, at Kunjalikutty's (Siddique) behest, so that Kunjalikutty could go to Dubai for a job instead. At Malappuram, his coworker Aliyar (Jagathi Sreekumar) smells a rat & tries to expose him, whilst Joji gets close to Gauri (Mathu), sister of the prominent Kurup brothers. Meanwhile, Kunjalikutty also lands in Malappuram after being defrauded of his visa in Mumbai by criminal Jaffer Khan (Rizabawa).

Prabhakaran (Mukesh), a struggling police constable, arrests ex-thief Vasu (Manoj K. Jayan), mistaking him for someone else. Angry at being framed, Vasu threatens to kill Prabhakaran & escapes from jail. Meanwhile, Prabhakaran gives shelter to Indu, a girl who had escaped from a rape attempt by local bigwig Babychan (Ravi Kumar). Balakrishnan (Sreenivasan), a village school teacher, & the new music teacher Nirmala (Samyuktha Varma), the object of his affection, gets involved in a mess when they get stuck in a resort in town & has to help a damsel in distress, Rita, from the goons of Delhi Pappachan (Nedumudi Venu). Rita gets in an accident for which they get blamed & Balakrishnan gets jailed, betrayed by Nirmala. 2 years later, Balakrishnan befriends a kind man, Nandakumar (Mukesh), whose fiancée turns out to be Nirmala.

Anaparambil Bhoominathan (Ramesh Pisharody), a passport office employee, who has to give half his salary every month to a mysterious stranger, per the will from his late father, struggles to make ends meet. Finally, he decides to quit his job & start a resort, but his plans are foiled when an ancient yacht is dug up in the land he bought for the resort. Govt officials from the Archeology department descend on the plot & takes it off his hands, leaving Bhoominathan strapped for cash.

Mahadevan Thampi (Sreenivasan), owner of the Sankaramangalam Hospital, gets cheated by his uncle Madhavan Thampi (Rajan P. Dev) into transferring the ownership of the hospital to Madhavan's London-educated daughter Nandini (Annie), by enticing Mahadevan with the false promise of giving Nandini's hand in marriage to him. However, Madhavan had his own slimy plans of getting Nandini married to Rajagopal (Mukesh), the new doctor in the hospital, but who in reality was a quack out to make some cash.

Lineman Sivankutty (Mukesh) falls in love with Parvathi (Annie), but her headstrong mother Subadra (Zeenath) opposes the relationship, citing the reason that her own husband, who used to be a lineman, had dumped her. Shortly afterwards, Subadra's husband Naryanankutty (Janardanan) returns after 18 years & fixes Parvathi's marriage to a junior engineer, while Subadra gives her word to give Parvathi to Aniyan Thampuran, the rich debauchee of the famed Illickal family, complicating things further.

Jayakrishnan (Jayaram), a struggling lawyer, frees an institutionalized maniac, Harinarayanan (Lal), after being convinced that he was normal, but later learns that he was duped. Finally, having to take the financial responsibility of Harinarayanan's antics, Jayakrishnan & his family goes broke & he plays a game show in an attempt to get his life back with the prize money.

His plans to make money off Sreevidya, whom he buys from a circus company, back fires however, when it turns out that the elephant doesn't understand any Malayalam, and only Hindi. Ayyappan Nair decides to learn Hindi & gets a private tutor in the form of Vinayachandran (Mukesh). But Vinayachandran's real aim was to get close to Ayyappan Nair's daughter Karthika (Sunitha).
In Ghost House Inn
In this threequel to 'In Harihar Nagar', Thomaskutty (Asokan) buys a supposedly haunted mansion from an old lady, Dorothy Fernandes, with the intention of starting a tourist resort there. However, in order to convince the townsfolk that the mansion wasn't really haunted, Thomaskutty requests his old friends Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique) & Appukkuttan (Jagadish) to stay there with him for a week. However, soon they realize that there were evil forces at work in the mansion.

Athishayan
Devadas (Devadas), a young boy, drinks a potion brewed by scientist R.C. Shekar (Jackie Shroff) which makes him invisible, with the aim of rescuing Maya (Kavya Madhavan) who had adopted Devadas as a child, but who was in mortal danger for having videotaped an illegal transaction involving political bigwigs. In between trying to rescue Maya, a gunshot wound sparks off a chemical reaction in Devadas, turning him into a hulk-like monster.

Jewel (Archana Kavi), a rebellious teenager was always at loggerheads with her over-possessive mother Clara (Urvashi), with her hapless dovish father Joseph (Mukesh) torn in between. "The Virgin" marries a man from another village, but he takes everything from her except the one thing that was rightfully his. "The Housewife" has difficulty conceiving & her ex-flame offers himself as a surrogate stud. "The Spinster" is forced to go through life unmarried as her siblings get married & start their own families.

Tea estate worker Ramankunju (Indrans) is forced to stand by the communist party, whom he held close to his heart, when the party announces a strike against the estate management, for higher wages. However, the initial glimmer of hope wears off, after the strike continues for several days, leaving Ramankunju's family in misery and starvation.

Eradi (Innocent), who ran an old age home for abandoned women, 'Karunalayam', decides to sell it after he gets into financial trouble. To evacuate the place of its inmates so that he could sell the place, Eradi hires Vivek (Prithviraj), a young man out on his first job. Meanwhile, Akhila (Navya Nair) comes to Karunalayam with her mentally ill mother Janaki (Saritha). However, Vivek, who was an orphan, is touched by the love of all the mothers staying there & realizes that he can't evict them.

Ayyappa Das (Rudraksh Sudheesh) is a small-village boy whose biggest dream in life is to fly in an airplane. After hearing the village do-gooder Kochavva (Kunchacko Boban) speak about competitive swimmers being able to attend international tournaments in an airplane, Ayyappa takes up swimming & gets very good at it. Seeing his potential, Kochavva, who was also Ayyappa's coach, tries to get him enrolled in a prestigious swimming training program happening abroad.
