The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) - Rated 20 Apr 2025
"First half was deadly boring but in the second half that's where things went down. The movie is highly historically inaccurate, being based on a novel of the same title, and it should not be recommended for people who wish to learn more of the Boleyns or Tudors. This was supposed to be mainly about Mary but in reality, it felt that Anne was the main character. Which brings me to her ill fated end... Natalie did such an excellent job, I teared up a bit at Anne's execution."
Astérix: Le secret de la potion magique (2018) - Rated 20 Apr 2025
"A nice movie with a decent plot and the animation was on point (the resemblance with the comic figures was pretty accurate). As a kid I loved the Asterix and Obelix movies but I have to say this did not live up to the previous ones. It was funny and of course the ending was a happy one but that's that. I mean, kids will certainly enjoy this and that's all that matters."
Sleepy Hollow (1999) - Rated 12 Apr 2025
"Okayyyy. Sleepy Hollow was gory, dark and spooky. The plot was really good; I was thrown off a few times with trying to guess who did it, until the revelation at the end. I liked the ending scene with all three of them being together."
The Secret of Moonacre (2008) - Rated 11 Apr 2025
"The production is actually quite good, the costumes and the magic of it all were very lovely. I found the direction to be a little poor at some parts and the acting from some was equally so and cringe. I need to say that miss Heliotrope was enjoyable as a character . It is a nice fairytale story with a decent plot and intriguing characters."
Death Becomes Her (1992) - Rated 23 Feb 2025
"Death Becomes her was dark, humorous and unexpected. I thought that between Helen and Madeline, one would end up a victor and the other... dead. Another film that makes it's women obsessed with youth and beauty... a little tiring. But I dont fault my girls for their actions. What I wont take is a MAN doing "the right thing", and out of all that cheater Earnest! I really liked the unreal turn the movie took, with the gruesome injuries."
Crimson Peak (2015) - Rated 08 Feb 2025
"I saw Tom Hiddleston and said "SIGN ME UUPP!" but little did I know... I was loving the horror and gothic vibes of the movie. I was patiently waiting for the suspense for the revelation to finally climax and oh boy.... The ending was so disturbing and gory. I'm going to mull over this movie for some time now... Also the acting was kinda off sometimes but the costumes and visuals were on point. Jessica killed it in the end, literally."
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003) - Rated 08 Feb 2025
"A funny and adventurous movie with goddess Eris as the villain... I really, really enjoyed this. Sinbad is one heck of a thief, he even stole his friend's girl... Proteus man.... He was so NICE. Even though he and Marina were to have an arranged marriage, he let her chose her own destiny and I love him for it! The ending was nice!"
Labyrinth (1986) - Rated 06 Nov 2024
"Yeah... no. Weird and unnecessary. I only liked Hoggles and Sir Didymus. The actress that plays Sarah sounds like Olivia Rodgrigo and is the wife of Paul Bettany, aka Vision. The latter was a surprise."
Dark Shadows (2012) - Rated 05 Nov 2024
"A dark, gothic movie focusing on the Collins, a family cursed for generations by an obsessed and heartbroken witch. Intriguing characters, decent plot although the obsessiveness of the witch was tiring and the love between the vampire and Vicky was under developed. The ending would have been better if we saw everyone together after everything that happened."
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) - Rated 05 Nov 2024
