Are forced sex scenes and a current topic all it takes to make an arthouse movie? The worst garbage I have seen in a long time. Abysmal acting, strange editing, a laughably uninteresting plot. No chemistry whatsoever between the main characters. I was waiting for the movie to be over about 30 seconds into the film.

There is really nothing positive to say about Megalopolis, unless you count the fact that one will laugh several times at how ridiculously bad this movie is. Disjointed plot, bad acting (mainly due to a terrible script), poor special effects, try-hard camera angles like the ones I saw in first year of movie school. This movie really was 40 years in the making? One would have wished for a better outcome. Unfortunate proof that the director is old and evidently senile.
