I hate a predictable ending

Weisz was a talented beauty to behold, but this production by Davies was a bit to thin to leave me satisfied.

Some of us escape, and others of us don’t. This is a well told story of what can happen with either choice, and each choice, no matter what, will torment a person, knowing there was another path they chose not to take. I loved it, and I loved the completely unlovable anti-heroine. If you know, you know. If you don’t, nothing will make it clear

Don't Look Up (2021) - Rated 25 Dec 2021
It’s easy to see whom this film will offend. It’s bananas, with so much truth. A farcical perspective of our lives here on earth, and how ridiculous it has become. My knee jerk reaction was to have a drink, since this is sobering. Have a drink, and figure out how I’d spend my last six months

Jake G. was all this film needed, and that’s all they got. For most of the movie, it was Jake, a computer, and a phone, and it was never boring

A Most Wanted Man (2014) - Rated 30 Nov 2021
I’m a sucker for anything with the late P. S. Hoffman, and terrorism and espionage. Hoffman, as usual, makes the character feel authentic, and is surrounded by an A-list cast who all serve to make this an enjoyable slow burn.

Pieces of a Woman (2020) - Rated 29 Nov 2021
This was not easy to watch, which speaks volumes for the performance by Kirby. Even La Beouf did well as the archetype of a shallow man of a husband. Bravo to the mother who dared to pay him to go away, and for his character for staying true, and accepting payment to do just that

Beatriz at Dinner (2017) - Rated 28 Nov 2021
Hayek and Lithgow balanced each other well. However, I don’t think Beatriz needed to be so fatalistic. The ending didn’t make sense because, in her tragedy and despair, no one will miss her, and still, no difference will be made. She was making a difference in the lives of terminally ill patients, but I guess she forgot about that when she met the real estate mogul who shot a rhino and bankrolled development
