Darkness/Light/Darkness (1989) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
I'm sad that there's not more. This is so creatively weird and impressive work. And I absolutely love that. I think it was fun :)

Little Women (2019) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
It's not you it's me okay? I just don't like the story. I've read the book before and it put me in a 2 year reading slump sooooo....yeah no. I'm just so disappointed somehow Jo had so much potential and then the moral of the story is just: be a good woman and stop chasing your dreams. Also: the reaction to Laurie's marriage is very untrue to the book which pissed me off even more. It is realistic, but I'm too whimsical for that.

Lady Bird (2017) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
The one thing that really stuck with me from this movie? The mother-daughter relationship. I've never seen a movie where I related more to the dynamic of mother and daughter than here. Just overall this movie is really good at capturing humans and their behavior/emotions/relationships. That's what you should appreciate this movie for.

ME AND MY MOMS FAVOURITEEE! Peak music, peak comfort movie and really beautiful in every aspect. You just have to watch it. Even if you don't like musicals, trust me: you will like this one.

The Virgin Suicides (2000) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
I am so so sorry I really wanted to like it more but I just feel like it is overrated. I mean yes it is a tragic story, probably very relatable for many of us and the music and the cinematography is beautiful but... it just left me confused to be honest. I would've loved to see more of it. What happened before? Why did it start? Why all of them at the same time? Was it just this very strict isolation that did it for them? Or am I just to dumb?

Coraline (2009) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
I watched it for the first time, when my mom bought it for me when she was out shopping, at the age of 7 (I mean it is a kids movie right?) and well I was frightened enough that I told myself I would never watch it again. Now it is one of my comfort movies (what does that say about me :,) ) I just can't help but love everything that is slightly Tim-burton-clay-movies-esque and I know I'm not the only one.

La Haine (1995) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
Sadly it was french...but the slight, sometimes hidden deep meaning in it and the view of friendship, justice and suffering it gave us was pretty fucking moving. Most of the time I was a bit confused and disgusted (at the many times they spit on the ground bro :,) ) but trust me when I'm telling you: no ending ever hit me like this did. I was fucking flabbergasted.

Suspiria (2018) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
Damn Luca Guadagnino just always get's me. This was so beautifully picturesque (obviously) and you really root for the characters. This still haunts me in the best way possible and the body-horror was soooo realistic I was impressed, disgusted, scared and fascinated all at once. Also I love that the ending was kinda unexpected and weirdly wholesome :,)

X (2022) - Rated 30 Oct 2026
This wasn't only a Thriller, this (to me) is one of the best "female rage" movies I've ever seen. It is scary but also so emotional because of the realistic view on the industry and women's life back then, it also shows the struggles that we all still suffer from now. It isn't just pretty, fun, scary and a stylistic (vintage) masterpiece, it really has meaning behind all this and sometimes I nearly cried (DURING A SLASHER?!) which is a good sign!

The Sixth Sense (1999) - Rated 29 Oct 2026
peak cinematography and acting? A creative basically unexpected plot-twist? I felt unsettled just after a few minutes in? AND still nearly cried at this wholesome bittersweet ending? this movie is too good to be true. man now I wish I could see dead people :/
