Was pleasantly surprised by this obscure flick that I watched through my local library's video streaming service. It has some weaknesses in its crafting, but it gives a refreshing reprieve from the typical Western perspective on romance.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014) - Rated 29 Sep 2015

This movie totally swept me away, and I had a rollicking good time watching it. Every now and then an action/sci-fi flick will rock my world on a first viewing (Cloverfield comes to mind, though it didn't hold up to subsequent viewings). Always a pleasant surprise when that happens.

Visually nice, I guess, but not much else going for it. I hope the Nolans dabble in time travel again sometime because the potential for them to rock that genre is huge, but it wasn't realized here.
