"There’s a quality episode of Lois & Clark happening in between this Silver Age Supes pastiche. It just doesn’t go far enough with the goofy to really sell the era as more than a wink and a nod to the faithful. And the layers of irony can make the optimism difficult to discern as sincere. A miss for me, unfortunately."
