"I really expected to like this one since there are similar movies I like. But it's really bad. It doesn't age well, but that's not even the point. It's just that there aren't any funny parts. I can appreciate that it was the original college comedy. And maybe the fact it inspired so many later comedies that the jokes now seem very predictable and almost boring. Regardless, it may have been great in its time, but it's not a fun watch anymore."

"Very, very good. Overall the story makes you think - "which story do you prefer?" And I also love the slight ambiguity about which story is reality. The play version makes it a little clearer, but I like this version leaves it a little more open ended. The CGI is beautiful too. Lots of scenes are so colorful, and many times the tiger looks genuinely real. Just very well done."

"I've seen the musical live, and I didn't care for it. The movie does a much better job, but it can't avoid the shortcomings of the source material. There are some good songs for sure in this. But the characters are very underdeveloped, the dialogue is weak, and the plot is depressing. There's also some serious plot armor too (...Mimi). The more and more you think about the details of this show / movie, the worse it gets."

"Very Veep like, which unfortunately for me isn't a compliment. The second half of this is better than the first half. But there just aren't enough laugh lines. It's amusing but largely the jokes didn't land for me."

"Not a lot I liked about this one. Kids' acting are all bad. The dialogue is painful. The plot points are predictable. And CGI is way overused. Jim Carrey is great but that's about all this one has going for it."

"Very good, just not quite as good as the original. When a lot of sequels fall flat, this one held its own. Lots of laugh out loud moments, and the gags are near constant. Just more of the gags seemed to be gags for gags sake, not actually funny."

"It holds up, which a lot of comedies don't over time. It's so dense in jokes and gags that even when one doesn't land, another isn't far behind it. Lots of word play and visual gags. Leslie Nielsen was a gem."

"Overall very entertaining and well done. It's a wild story, and the actors do a great job. There were just some weird, artsy moments in the film that were jarringly different than the rest of the movie. Felt like they just wanted to be briefly artsy for no reason, and it took me out of it each time (primarily Baldwin's rant at beginning, the cutaway fades to people watching the first speech, the movie posters, the final hallway sliding shot, etc). Would be better without those choices I felt."
