A laboured effort. Too similar to "A New Hope". Episode I had its issues but at least it tried to be different. It's slick and well produced enough but I can't help feeling this could have been much better.

Awful script, tedious romance story, carboard characters. Effects are nice when the volcano finally blows but other than that it just made me wish I was watching Gladiator.

I don't get the hate. Very watchable. No tedious romance shoe horned into a hollywood film is a nice change. M Night is under-rated. A concise and well worked film.
