71 42% Night of the Comet (1984) - Rated 20 Jun 2024
"I saw parts of this on tv years ago and was put off by the level of camp, which was unfortunate- it helps a lot to watch it from the start, get to know the characters in the regular world first before following them into more outlandish situations. The second and third acts don't work as well as the first, random department store villains and 'Umbrella Corporation-lite' appears and are dealt with, but it's fine because it doesn't go on too long."
66 14% Freejack (1992) - Rated 05 Jun 2024
66 14% I.S.S. (2024) - Rated 04 Jun 2024
"Perspective seems wrong, the altitude of the station isn't high enough for the views. Didn't really understand the lack of reaction by nearly anyone about what is probably the end of civilization. Also the main character doesn't sell the struggle at the end- needs to be straining at least some. CGI space helmet looks bad. Some attempt at everyone discussing the situation and working together but then that breaking down (because the home city of someone rolls into view) would be better."
65 10% Men at Work (1990) - Rated 01 Jun 2024
"Probably should have watched this when I was 10."
69 31% Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020) - Rated 31 May 2024
"Some of the action is a little off, tighter editing or a few more takes could have helped."
70 37% Manhunter (1986) - Rated 29 May 2024
70 37% After Hours (1985) - Rated 23 May 2024
"This was mentioned in a review of Miracle Mile so I had to watch it, it is another in the 'all in one night'/'worst date ever' genre, this one is funnier but I like it less overall. The ending starts to feel a little like The Warriors or Escape From New York."
74 57% Miracle Mile (1988) - Rated 17 May 2024
"A looming nuclear apocalypse in Los Angeles set to Tangerine Dream- how did I not see this earlier?"
69 31% Testament (1983) - Rated 15 May 2024
