"Written for the stage and that’s where it belongs. Shannon originated the character at Steppenwolf and it’s a harrowing experience live. It doesn’t translate well to the screen, but the acting is stellar and the external shots of the hotel are super creepy."

"I’m not opposed to some crappy TV written for delusional southern boomer women, but they’ve missed the mark here. Too much strife, it kills the vibe. The high schoolers get too much airtime. The chef woman is just mean. The ex-husband has the worst fake southern accent Hollywood has yet produced, and that’s saying something."
