Nick Hamden

Bio: There is no way I can rank movies on a 1-100 point scale logically. How in the heck do you differentiaate between a 64 and a 63? You can't, it all bullshit. I usually rank on a 5 point scale. So I will rank my movies as 100/80/60/40/20 only.

I review movies on my own website and for a newspaper. I also just watch movies all the time. All day, everyday

Kick-Ass 2 (2013) - Rated 20 Aug 2013

Loses a lot of heart that the first had, while also downplaying the violence. Downplaying the violence? Yeah, there is a lot of no violence happening. Kind of disappoiting.

Three solid shorts out of four. Well done, V/H/S 2.

Vamp U (2013) - Rated 18 Aug 2013

It is supposed to be a college sex comedy. But the comedy is almost nonexistent, and the sex certainly is missing. So what is left? College? Ugh.

The Last Castle (2001) - Rated 18 Aug 2013

Not the best story in terms of filling in plot holes. But it is inspirational and fun. I mean, sure people can be in prison, but should they be tortured?

The Last King of Scotland (2006) - Rated 17 Aug 2013

Whittaker is great! But I thought the rest of the movie was just a bit ehhh. No offense. Well, some offense.

Eh. You know you are only going to watch this movie if you already like the book, or really want to see Kristen Stewart's boobs.

Elysium (2013) - Rated 17 Aug 2013

It has its faults, but it is still a pretty good story overall. Action is decent, and Sharlto Copley is such a great villain in this one.

We're the Millers (2013) - Rated 17 Aug 2013

I actually thought that this movie was pretty damn funny. Well done, Jason Sudeikis' first successful movie at the leading role.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) - Rated 17 Aug 2013

Not as good as the first film, missing a lot of umph. Character changes are a bit annoying.

The Bling Ring (2013) - Rated 17 Aug 2013

It is okay, but I don't think it warranted a movie about the situation?
