"Enjoyable but not believable at all. You can’t gaslight someone that easily. Even if we accept that Paula can be fooled that easily, then the conclusion of the story is not satisfying. One man solves all the mystery just because he was a fan of her aunt, eh… Still, the acting is great, the concept is interesting."

"A simple story with a good message as usual from Miyazaki. The visuals are great, the music is incredible, the friendship/affection between the boy and the girl is awesome. Other characters are too "shallow" but that's not a problem. Last 15 minutes or so feels so, so... I don't know how to express it in English... "pastoral". The song at the end enhances that feeling."
