The ramblings of madmen have always peaked my curiosity. In their madness, there usually belies some truth, especially in film. Seven points a mirror to it's audience and reflects only the vile nature that such madmen adore as truth.

The tale of vengeance is always a sad and poetic one, yet The Punisher somehow manages to turn Frank Castle's bloodlust into a calm, collective plan for justice. This results in a somewhat predictable outcome, as John Travolta plays a tragically dumb mafioso, who Frank plays like a fiddle throughout the film.

The last gritty superhero movie to run theaters and be, in my opinion, stupendously great. A truly faithful and exciting adaptation of Moore's tour de force.
