The Invisible Man
I really really enjoyed the first half of this film until it turned into a silly scoobey doo situation. I think the problem with creating an ultra gritty world around classic characters is it can make the characters themselves look even more ridiculous. If this was just an ambiguous metaphor for the ever present fear of an abusive partner (something more Sleeping With The Enemy) it would be really cool. But at the end of the day it's still a fucking invisible man. So however they try and shoehorn that into the narrative its always bound to end up looking kind of silly. But you know. Some really nice ideas in here.
