One Battle After Another
Out the gates at 60mph, this was so fast paced and tense that I completely forgot that it was a 3hr movie (until I had to pee 30min til the end). But I held it, I was strong.
Sean Penn slithered into his role all too well, his twistedness was fully believable. Benicio & Leo were paired up perfectly too, pulling Leo away for the umpteenth time from his enchufe. And if you told me that Wes Anderson consulted during the sensei sequence, I would not be surprised.
Just fully engaged from start to finish. I can see this movie winning a lot of hearts because of the timely chord it strikes with current events.

Really fun and fast-paced, with great energy throughout. The vibes are spot-on, and the performances are outstanding. Sean Penn goes full Dennis Hopper mode and it’s electric.
