Fast & Furious 6
I still get a faint and faintly embarrassing tingle when villains say shit like, "These 'common criminals' were seconds from taking us down. Show them the respect they deserve or it weakens us." Best action and jokes of the series. Though it is disappointing that previous entries' quasi-religious emphasis on family, and flirting with female-female sexual contact, did not culminate in Rodriguez and Pataky becoming Vin Diesel's fully polyamorous sister-wives when the opportunity presented itself.
About the jokes: Tyrese is hilarious in these movies, and especially this movie. To admit this is to enter the paradisiacal kingdom of the based. Or, at the very least, its resplendent anteroom.
About the action: seems intended to build on Nolan's Batman films, with the "hockey puck" supercar and all the fun with cables and street-deployment of military hardware, and succeeds in supersizing the spectacle. This is understandable, considering that Nolan's Batmen keep one stubborn foot in reality, but the hand-to-hand combat is also superior: sometimes cartoonish, yes, but cleaner, more comprehensible, more dynamic.
