Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stands out because Sam Raimi injects it with a style and personality rarely seen in the MCU. The inventive camera work, horror-inspired imagery, and creative visual flourishes make the film feel distinctly his. From dream-walking to undead creatures and jump-scare sequences, Raimi embraces supernatural horror in ways that give the movie a unique identity.

Elizabeth Olsen delivers one of the film's strongest performances. She brings genuine emotion, grief, rage, and vulnerability to Wanda's darker transformation, making her far more compelling than a typical Marvel villain. Benedict Cumberbatch remains an effective lead, while Xochitl Gomez adds energy and heart as America Chavez.

The multiverse concept also leads to some genuinely imaginative moments. Alternate realities, bizarre visuals, and inventive action sequences keep the movie entertaining, with the musical-note battle standing out as one of the MCU's most creative set pieces. The biggest drawback is that the story relies heavily on WandaVision, and some viewers found Wanda's turn toward villainy abrupt after her previous arc. Even so, the performances, visuals, and Raimi's direction make this one of Marvel's more memorable recent entries.
