The Green Mile

John Coffey. Like the drink. Only not spelled the same. Watching this film made me immediately want to purchase the book. The way it was written and not to mention the incredible impact on Michael Clarke Duncan's performance was so captivating that I bet the book, the original source, has even more depth that couldn't fit in the adaptation. Source that probably allows us to explore the kindness and childlike innocence that define John Coffey. Obviously, I knew Coffey was some sort of angel in disguise but I couldn't help getting attached to him. Literally, one of God's miracles on Earth, he didn't deserve such unfair death cause that electric chair had Wild Bill's name on it. Unfortunately, given the age and context of this story, justice was never in Coffey's favour. I regret that.
