Obsession
I have a hard time putting to words what I think of this movie. I'd like to say it's an excellent movie but not necessarily an excellent horror movie. BUT the horror elements are actually quite strong AND I think the non-horror part largely works so well because it IS a horror movie.
I guess I'm trying to say that I was expecting it to be more of a one trick pony, and rely on scares or creepiness only, but what really holds it together is the emotional impact.
It is a little jarring to watch at times, but an excellent movie nevertheless. Added points for some pretty funny moments despite them stemming from some pretty dark undertones.
