Hellraiser (2022) abandons the original canon and replaces it with vague, inconsistent rules.

Anyone cut by the box is sacrificed, regardless of who solves it. But who receives the reward? Initially, it's Voight, presumably because he owns the box, not because he solved it. So what determines the recipient afterward?

The movie introduces a supposedly rule-based system without defining its essential rules. Instead, those rules seem to change whenever the plot demands it.

The pleasure box is no longer a mystery. It has become deterministic and nihilistic; When the old style Cenobites were summoned, they would investigate the reason. And based on what they find, they would provide their own interpretation where they do not show to know the difference between pleasure and pain. Now that approach has content! And that has been killed off.

This movie only exists to promote wokeness and to destroy more culture from the west.

Soon enough you'll see two gay men in bed, Pinhead is played by a transsexual.

The acting was often poor and often outright bad. The "scary" parts were too clean and clinical; The Cenobites resembled set pieces. The tiny bit of blood was unconvincing, the little bit of ripping of flesh looked outright cheap. This is a horror movie? The movie was way too tame for that.

Other effects were cheap too. The first fragments of the movie exist only to fulfill the woke-quota and is not needed for the story. The represented drug addiction was less than a shadow of what it really is. What was the point tangibly?

The characters were generic disposable cardboard items.
