Nah, this could've been truly solid with some cuts -- 20 minutes shorter, I guess. It looks just exhausting - I know that's the point -- and too repetitive -- again, perhaps mirroring the cyclical way games work. Anyways, Burial's music helps this -- each person will come up with their own weird definition of it -- 'what if they let Korine direct a FPS GTA with Fortnite mechanics (colorful collectibles, emotes) and endless TikTok filters and AI shit' feel mildly enjoyable. Doomscrolling experimental cinema -- but sort of confined to the feed of a sole nihilistic and disturbingly childish-like YouTube gaming channel.
